Like them all, are they all useful... Nope. I still don't understand why Snow Vehicles sell? Not everyone has snow.
If i could afford to army build the Night Raven I would I like Cobra having an air force. But I need to army build the Joe conquests so they have someone to dog fight. So I will end up getting one just to have.
The Cobra Humvee is pretty neat and who ever mentioned the A-Team Idea, I was on your wave length, thought the same thing.

I gotta agree on the scale of the NR, it makes it kind of sad in a way, like a really cool design they were afraid to go the full force with and so just scaled it down making it look like its for smaller figures. If it were orginal NR size, maybe, but at this point it looks like they should have washed it in cold.

Repaint Sabre, no if I wanted it that color I would paint it that color.

Is that thing a snowmobile or a pod for the Discovery.
;-)

The Hummer is nice, but not feeling strong enough to buy it.

Both sad and glad to know I'm not alone in my disappointment over the size of that jet. If Joes were MASK sized, that'd be one of the coolest vehicles ever.

As it stands, I have no use for it.

The Hummer, on the other hand, could be fun. Digging that Moto-Viper quite a bit. Might just buy two.

The Night Raven is neat for a toy, but it isn't cool for being inheriting the Night Raven name. No comparison to the original and something about it just looks "off." The wheels are really weird and so is the cockpit. The scale is also way off. I realize they don't want to take a plunge on something huge, but I would guess this is only two times the length of the Firebat, if that. Strato Viper is a great win. The original color scheme is still better because that's what I'm accustomed to and work better with the plane, but that color scheme is pretty good.

I don't care about the VvV Snowcat thing. I have the original. That's all I need. I am a fan of that figure though.

The AGP snowmobile hybrid is oddly cool. I hate saying that. It looks awful. But I still sorta like it. Like that JvC Big Ben giant gun on treads catastrophe. The figure isn't worth owning if you already have the Snow Job from wave two, though.

I like the Hummer. Probably not enough to drop $20 on it, because it probably will be that much, but it still has its merit. I like the Motor Viper a lot. Wonder what torso is under that vest. All that being said, if it's less than $20, I'll definitely be temped.

No, but the fact of the matter is they DO sell. I had this confirmed to me at one of the earliest G.I.Joe conventions when I spoke to a Hasbro rep who was there at the time (Vinnie D'Alleva). I was protesting the disparity between arctic and desert figures and vehicles, and he told me that arctic vehicles were ALWAYS popular sellers.

I think we've seen a bit of a turnaround on that, numberwise, anyway, given the parts of the world where our real-life military conflicts have taken place, but I can still see the point. As someone who has lived in both wintery and desert conditions in his life, trust me -- snow's a lot more fun to play in than desert sand.

I actually like the New NightRaven. For me I'm thinking it's the fighter escort for its big brother. Plus its a worthy adversary to the Motormax F22.

The H3 would make for an AWESOME upgrade to Jackhammer from MASK...maybe a good Cliff Dagger figure?

Also, Whats the mad love for a giant NR? I hated how huge that thing was, cause I could never effectively play with it. Smaller is better in my book.

Man, can't wait to get my hands on some of em...

None of these really knock my sox off. The Night Raven looks like it has some cool features, but sorry, the original looks way cooler. The original could pass for a real jet, while this is just too fantasy infused. Not my cup of tea. I'll wait till see one in hand to see if I buy one or not.

I love the figures!
I really don't care for the Night Raven. It has the same problem as the Thunderwing. Not very aerodynamic. Then the missile rack is also problematic for me.
Too much of a Tonka feel with those vehicles just like the Spytroops era. blah! :-P

I know what you mean - some Sasquatch-esque douche pressured me into buying a Night Raven last year in Canada ( ;) ), and it still hasn't found a permanent spot in the "Man Cave" because of it's size (wow - that sounds dirty, too.) But the new one looks pretty sweet and the size looks manageable, so I might have to snag one.

I actually agree with the second part of this statement, but the first part is off for me.

I'd absolutely love this Night Raven design if it were more appropriately sized as a small fighter jet for the figure it comes with. As is, it looks almost comically too small for him. If I were Hasbro, I'd take pictures of the vehicle and then show the figure in a separate or inset smaller picture. Dishonest? Maybe. But they would've sold me at least two of them based on the design of the jet and the hope that the figure fit properly inside.

Yeah, just out of curiosity, can anyone tell me what the benefit of the Night Raven being bigger would be, other than just to...well.. be bigger? It's not like it would hold more crew. It's not like it would be more "realistic" (since this new version is pretty far removed from the original SR-71). Why does it have to be bigger? If COBRA can fly around totally unrealistic (and kick ass) prototype craft like the Firebat, why couldn't something like this work as a single-person assault aircraft?

Why does it have to be bigger?

I love the original Raven, don't get me wrong, but it's so huge and cumbersome (especially since it only holds 3 figures) that it's tough to display and even tougher to "play" with. I LOVE this smaller, more managable size.

Justin

Oh man, this "LASER BLAST" practically writes itself!

Sorry - couldn't resist. Back to the thread.
