Looks more likely that they link together to form a row with the point being more a display for the shelf, and showing, if anything, a simultaneous break out.

Holy crap! Okay bit of a story here. At SDCC this past year I was walking to our car in the under the convention center parking garage. I see this gray piece of plastic on the ground. It looked like a piece of something so I picked it up. It was just this oddly shaped piece that looked like it was part of a playset floor. I initially thought it was part of the 200X Castle Grayskull or some other castle playset as it was angular and had rocks stamped into the top. It was a flat gray in color, had a couple small footpegs (about Joe scale) and had a slot on the "back" side for a cardboard wall insert or something similar. I chucked it into the car because hey it might make good fodder for something.

Fast forward to today and I'm looking at these pictures and what do I see? The base plate I found at SDCC last year! Its a different color gray than the one I found (more shiny molded plastic versus flat) but that is totally what I picked up in the parking garage. So I'm thinking what I found must have been one of the prototypes or an early sample or something because I don't think these were for sale at that time.

My clayface pack came. It's a nice enough set. The 1 interchangable hand is pretty cool...although I wish for more. it sucks that clayface has no ankle articulation though....the batman is trash. Nice paint decos, but on a terrible sculpt. I would have rather they done this deco on the movie bats.

Agreed.

It's a little amusing that, in a line that's gotten so much right in terms of sculpt and even articulation, the one character they can't do justice to is Batman (save the Keaton movie figure).

1 Target put Multiverse and Star Wars back to $9.99 but had nothing. Stopped by a second Target and prices are stil $12.99, but found these 2. Had a $13 gift card which made the purchase better. They weren't in the system, so took a few minutes to get things straightened out. Hush and Black Mask seem 1 per, Arkham Knight x3, rest are Batman and Joker.

Wow that is a horrible case pack out.
So they are betting people want Arkham Knight. I haven't played the game so I have no idea who or what that is. I'm sure there are a lot more people like me.

Looks like Batman and Spawn had a baby.

Looks cool...but not $13 cool. These companies are insane.

I saw the Clayface and Solomon Grundy sets at TRU this past week. $24.99. They look cool, but Clayface has a tiny head and they have no bicep swivel, which really sucks and detracts from them, I think.

I don't care how nice the sculpt is, lacking bicep swivel while including thigh swivel is flat-out incompetence and I refuse to reward Mattel's entrenched MFing stupidity at toy production. These people are simply the worst when compared to what they *should* be able to produce, dammit.

Anyone going at Toyfair should ask them why they put knee swivels instead of a bicep swivels.

You're right!
As a kid, I wished all my figures had swiveling arms.
Now as an adult with a career, a wife and responsibilities, I realize how wrong I was and that if a figure sports a swiveling joint, it should be located at the knee, not the elbow...
