I was hoping they'd drop the chest tampo, but I guess it gives her that late 80s, early 90s vibe that the FSS has. I'm in. This is my first sub.

The Joe Club is really nailing the figures this time around. Bombstrike is a very good ME rendition with the parts currently available. The accessories are a great match, as well. I'm still partial to the new-sculpt version and I think it still hold ups well, but if I can find Bombstrike for a decent price on eBay, I'll cave-in and get this one.

Here's a side by side of the first version and the "fixed" version.

Same body parts. New parachute pack, possibly a new head?, recolored weapons/gear, different camo scheme and the green skin camo paint. Any changes I missed?

EDIT: Nope, I think it is still the Lifeline torso, I think the difference in neck color vs. face color threw me off.

Overall, this version looks SOOO much better!

I think the torso has been changed to the Retaliation 3-pack Firefly version with the undershirt, as many people requested. Overall, this version looks SOOO much better!

If it is then they added the Lifeline pouches and holster.

Honestly I don't see much of an improvement. The skin camo looks good and the darker weapons and green hooks/pick-axe are nice but overall its still kinda blah to me.

Pretty much my feelings, too.

The torso isn't awesome and the parachute pack is kind of a head scratcher. But why in the world doesn't this guy come with a black version of the cool duffel bag we got with PoC Zartan? That aalone would make a hge difference in faithfulness to the original design.

They took away the old crappy action feature backpack. Instead they gave him the parachute harness that the Night Force version has. That is what a lot of people wanted. I don't think they had any other options for a backpack.
They still could have given him the duffel.

The head is the same as the concept vault version. It was on the Night Force figure. It's just that the paint obscures the sculpt a lot making it difficult to identify.

I guess they couldn't give him Firefly's torso. It would have been nice if they could have switched it with Alpine's.

I don't think the head sculpts are the same. The concept case version was bald and the Club version had sculpted hair.

Can't be certain without having both pieces in hand, but in Justin's review the hair appears to just be a paint opp and the stubble looks the same as the concept case figure: http://www.generalsjoes.com/reviews/201 ... ndrun.html

I like alot more, and I do think it's a different head, but I've never seen the NF head before

I agree that this reveal *looks* like a different head from the Night Force version, but I can't tell for sure if the face camo is just making it look different, or if it actually is. Even if it is a different head, I don't think it's the concept case head.
