I picked up the 3 pack with Roadblock, and while I was at Target, they had a clearance arctic Destro, so I got that and put his legs on RB, and painted his ass piece to match. I like it soooo much more now.

Pics?

Because its ugly and restricts foot movement.

Finally found a cobra trooper at walmart, he was hiding behind 2 RB and a SE. But at walgreens I found a POC desert battle Duke.

So, why is it I've been able to find every figure (including a "variant" joe trooper) in this "held back" line, but I couldn't find half the other stuff I wanted from previous releases?

Also, TRU has a "spend $25 on retaliation, get a 10$ gift card" sale going on.

Mostly you can find it because nothing is being held back. Due to the push back, what has been shipped in is what's there. They were gearing up for the movie and getting shelf space set. Ample supply was shipped but now there is no demand. So we can have our pick until it's all gone.

The previous stuff was being shipped in limited quantities. There was no wide spread demand so with less supply it was hard to find what we wanted. In some situations waves didn't even show up because previous waves were still flooding the shelves. There were other situations too that nobody can even say what it was but people have guessed.

This is good in theory, but all the stores have restocked 3 or 4 times since the stuff came out. That means there were more shipments ( especially true for Target whose price checker tells you there is no stock in the back).

Yeah all the stuff goes to a distribution center for chains. They could get restock shipments up until as late as August if they actually ordered that much, or it could dry up in another 2 weeks. It just depends on what was ordered.

I'm not playing Mr Know-it-all here, so don't worry, hehe. When I worked at KB Toys we would get stuff in and on the shipping label it would show what the store got and another area showing how many boxes were shipped chain wide with what's left in the distribution centers. Based on that information, you would know how much is left and available. Knowing there was more, you could request... didn't mean you'd get it though. That number could change weekly if they got more in. In this situation though, it should just be less and less showing on a stores label. If you see a case sitting out, look at the label. Somewhere on it there will be all that information.

Oh that is simple .... because it is/was a movie tie-in line.

I hope we see POC/30th at Ross, TJX, & Big Lots this fall.

Fell off? Like the shoulder pin broke? And no, mine was just fine.

like it was over stressed just in the packaging... I took him out and tried to bend his shoulder to use his m-4 and boom the arm fell off (twisted off from the looks of the joint)

further inspection finds the shoulder pin/ o part that allows the shoulder to move up and down was fused to the pin in the sholder ... grrr he's the reason i bought that pack!

Had to stop at Target for a couple of grocery items (grocery store stopped carrying my Welch's Reduced Sugar Grape Jelly in the squeeze bottle... the bastards) and checked out the toy department.

The Avengers endcap has been switched over to Spider-man. The Avengers pegs were nothing but Ultimate Thor and leftover Thor/Cap/IM2 figures. Star Wars ... meh, didn't even bother to look.

But what got my heart racing was the fully stocked GI Joe section! One vertical row of 4 pegs jammed full with Retaliation figures. Surely I'll find a Joe or Cobra Trooper or maybe even Zartan or Cobra Commander right? Nope. Nothing but Roadblock, Snake-eyes and Storm Shadow.

The shelves were packed with most of the vehicles though. Water Moccasins, Ninja AWE Strikers, HISS Tanks and VTOLs. I caved and got one of the HISS Tanks to see what I can do with it. Might like the static treads but if not I have an extra POC HISS that I can slap the body onto.

And they had a 3 of the 3-packs, 2 of the SE/SS sets and 1 with Roadblock. I got the Roadblock set to swap the hands over to the regular Roadblock I got in the Amazon set.

I was almost tempted to get the SE/SS 3-pack but resisted. The Red Ninja in that set looks cool but I don't want/need to have to get the single carded Red Ninja for him to command. So I resisted the temptation.

They also had a couple of the cycles and the role play stuff but after the disappointment of the figures I didn't bother to look and see what exactly they had.

But I can safely say that I'm now done with Retaliation stuff until next year. Unless the Red Ninjas show up and hit clearance or the HISS Tank really blows me away that is.

Stopped at TRU to check out the sale(don't listen to the drama queens on other sites that are saying they're doing the sale to clear out the stock, it's a planned sale, these things are planned months in advance, I'll bet the week before the movie was supposed to come out, they'll have a BOGO50% sale on GI Joes too, besides, other stuff if $10 gift card w/ $25 purchase too, Batman and something else). Anyway, I tried it with an older Renegades Cobra Trooper and a Retaliation 3-pack and it worked, so if your store still has some 30th/Renegades on the pegs, those'll work too for the $10 gift card.

TRU Canada currently has a 25% sale on GIJoe, so I decided that I'd use the opportunity to get two Steel brigade figures, a Hazard Viper and I was hoping to find an extra red ninja.

PoC wise they had all the figures since the last time I went there. Retaliation wise, it seems that the sale that we got a few weeks ago cleaned out most of the stock because the pegs are now filled with the doubles of SS, SE and RB along a few Dukes, a couple of Cobra Commander and a lonely Zartan which kinda surprised me. Since I didn't have it yet, I bought a CC. It's a pretty neat figure. I'm still on the fence as to use it as CC or to get another one and use them as Honor Guards to Renegades CC.

If you'll trade for the launcher, I've got one.
