This is interesting to see that Hasbro is still providing new-sculpt figures. However, all of these appear to be leftover stock from old production runs, so I'm not getting my hopes up too much. The lack of accessories is also bizarre, but that's probably what Hasbro has to do to keep the prices down.

Hasbro has already stated that they aren't going to make any more new ARAH or New Sculpt figs its 25th from here on out.

Also interestingly http://www.hisstank.com/gi-joe-news/a-r ... ards-7439/ shows a few more figs that TNI don't show. Like Slice, Dice, and Stalker.

Granted, but their statement led me to believe that they weren't going to release figures from those lines in *any* form, so maybe this is a softening of that stance.

I can see this as being a possible first wave of maybe two or three until the movie. First, they see how some (possibly) crappy overstock sells, and maybe then some more welcome rereleases, like:

Good

VvV wave 7 Viper
Torch
VvV Firefly

Better (repaints)

VvV Firefly (grey)
B.A.T. V.5 (as Sky B.A.T.)

Best

Three initals: D-T-C

Even if these never come to pass, let alone my, er, suggestions, at least "Hulk" is giving us some new newsculpt.

Neat! Weird but neat.

I think it's odd that Beachead in in there though. Not that I'm complaining.

Yeah that's what I thought.

I didn't find out anything. These are still unknown I guess. I hope they'll come in though. KB did pretty good getting the ones that were at Dollar General. They're almost sold out. So I assume they'll get them in. They'll sell if they do. It does look like the regular single packs that's been out before though.

I like the card art. I also like that odd Beach Head in there.

Based on what I see in the pictures, I'm calling this repackaged leftover stock. They took existing character illustrations and did some cut-and-paste to put them on a more compatible background with the current line -- which frankly has resulted in a considerable improvement in my opinion, artwise. I like how they went with character specialties, as well (i.e. "Ninja Apprentice" for Kamakura). I'll be curious what sort of file cards these figures have.

Rather wish they'd do a new color scheme of the Neo-Viper, one of my personal favorite newsculpts, but that's probably expecting too much. :-/

Ding Ding Ding. Esp. when a lot of these look like leftovers from what can still be found at Dollar General/Family Dollar type of stores.

Beach Head's card art is of the VvV version. I bet the old sculpt is just a place holder or mistake.

Those are also the exact same figures that are ubiquitous in the Midnight Chinese market. Yes, even Night Force Beach Head.

Not necessarily. Remember that particular Beach-Head also turned up in that rather -- odd -- take on the Moray boat that was exclusive to TRU. They might have a lot of him around, but lack artwork specific to the figure.

Tonight when I get to KB, I wrote down the numbers. I'll run it in the computer and see what comes up. Looking at the card sizes, I'm pretty sure these are the dollar store ones.

I've seen a ton of the old ones from the Dollar stores showing up at K-B now. Of course, they're twice the price or more!

But with the new resurgence in all things Joe, maybe that's not a bad way for K-B to make some cash.
