That Tim Roth headsculpt is freaking great.

I see a horde of Resevoir Dogs customs on the way.

Tim Roth -- is THAT who this is supposed to be!?

I snagged a set -- the ONLY set -- of these at Wal-Mart a few days ago. They've got to be short packed.

The recent issue of Tomart's (look for the Harley Quinn doll on the cover), actually shows two additional Hulkbuster Squad members in the picture spread of Hulk toys. One is a mild recoloration of the "Grand Slam" figure -- olive trim instead of grey and differently placed -- and the other figure is entirely different, but has a sort of "anonymous" look with molded on helmet and goggles.

Have no idea when (or if) this set will be coming out, but that'll be the big army-builder one, I suspect, for those so inclined.

I found a set at Wal-Mart today. They look great. I still want 4 more sets. I want to build squad of these. I normally don't army build but I'll do a small army with these. It's still within my normal limit to have 4 "troops". I usually will do between 2 - 4.

The question I have to ask though, what's up with the head sculpt? On the back they show a figure that looks more like the guy but with a crew cut. The figure though looks to have more longish hair.

I can't WAIT to get a hold of these!

Still haven't seen them anywhere around here though :(

I, too, want to get at least a few packs of these, but I really wish they had left the SHIELD logos that had been on the prototype versions.

Amen to that.

I have to wonder why Hasbro (Or was it Marvel?) decided to change that detail?

Okay, maybe I'm missing something here, but the figures I have DO have SHIELD insignias on their right sleeves. At least they sort of look like SHIELD logos. The imprinting isn't as precise as perhaps it should be.

I'm wondering when the second set will be out. That'll be the real army-builder set.

I thought they had the "Hulkbuster" logo that is featured on the Humvee.

Maybe. I don't have the Humvee, so I can't make the comparison offhand. On the "Roth" figure, the insignia looks something like a blue eagle against a yellow background, wings outstretched. It's the same on the "Grand Slam" figure, but it's harder to discern precuse detail because the insignia was imprinted over a sculpted star emblem on the sleeve. Honestly, I'm just not certain.

I found one set of these today at WM. It might be the heat (99 degrees and humid), but they seem kind of flimsy when I opened them up - loose leg joints and very soft plastic on the arms. Did I get a bad set, was it from sitting in my car for 20 minutes, or are they all like this?

Think it's the heat. The figures I picked up are okay.

It was the heat. After a few hours in the A/C, they have become less soft, but the knees and hips are still slightly loose. Nothing that will prevent a pose, but not tight as most figures right out of the package.

One question for those that have this set: With the remolded handle on the Ma-deuce, can 25th Roadblock still hold it reasonably... does it fit better for being so wide?

I hate the green gun, no matter how nostalgia-riffic and 1984 accurate, and I really detest buying the Night Watch 5-pack just for one weapon. This seemed like the perfect alternative... a little custom fodder, a new head, and the weapon I wanted... but with the remold, I'm thinking I may have to go the 5-pack route.

Any help/ideas?

(And no, please don't say Marauder John)
