I, too, would like a proper review of the wave to pop up online. Come on General Hawk and LT Dragon...

We're working on it! I've got to write Spirit and Duke and send them to Justin for his comments and then we'll be all set. We should have them posted by the end of the week! (After that we've still got the TRU 3-packs and 5 packs to tackle!)

If by disappointed you mean that this is the first wave that I am skipping a majority of in my purchasing, then, yes. I only intend to get the Vipers (2) and Wild Bill. Duke can ram it, especially since we already know that there will be a Stalker that comes with the Jump in one of the MASS device things.

Admit it, you're just cutting back now to save up to army build Matt Trakker figures.

I passed on Duke, WildBill, Spirit for now but snagged 2 Vipers, Hiss Driver and a SEv3. Vipers look good beyond the afforementioned issues. I absolutely love the HissDriver for somre reason. I think I like his layout look and the head that it's how it should have looked like back then. I am pretty pissed over the SE. I pretty much bought him for parts, and I am glad I did. The one I picked up is permantly leaning to the right side. His upper torso is cocked to a side on the mid torso. I can't fix it without popping him open to see wtf is wrong with him. The thighs and calves don't look right together. Almost like they are switched, but I know they are not. Hole in the head bugs me as well as the mega knives that stick out like a propeller.

Spirit looks like Johnny Cash.

Excellent. Sorry I called you LT Dragon. After posting that I realized it was leonardoTdragon, which likely shouldn't be truncated that way. Anyhow, looking forward to the reviews!

that viper sucks ass...big time. It looks nice until you open it. the
goggles don't stay on, the hands suck, and his ankles don't bend enough so
he kinda leans back. very disappointed. OTOH, grandslam thanks duke for his
new jetpack and rifle :-)

Ok, after finding the whole wave, I have to say that yes, I am pretty much disappointed in all of them. Not hugely disappointed, but this is probably my least favorite wave thus far.

Duke - meh - like I need any jetpacks (never been a fan, really.)
Snake Eyes -- would be perfect if he was taller - as-is, he's not the dream custom base figure I'd hoped he'd be.
Viper - the only thing good about him is the torso & upper arms for customs. Not worth $7-8 a pop for fodder, though.
Spirit - used his legs & forearms for a Spirit custom - no need to buy any more.
Wild Bill -- too many mods required to make him look presentable - pea head, crappy proportions, "LASER BLAST" holsters, etc. --Too bad his head is so damn small - it'd make one hell of a Jim Gordon custom....
HISS driver -- surprisingly, the only one for which I have no complaints. But I never really cared for the character or wanted the figure anyway. But he fits well enough into the DTC HISS (my preferred model), so I might get a couple more just to round out the Cobra motor pool.

But honestly, I just cancelled all my BBTS pre-orders for this wave (had a couple of cases and a mess of individual SEs & others on order.) -- And those that have seen my customs know that I like to stock up on fodder - not this time around, however.

So I'll save some $$$ for the next couple of months until the next wave, anyway ;)

And I don't want this to seem like I'm Hasbro-bashing in the least -- they've done a great job getting these things out to us. But I have this thing where I customize every single Joe I get my hands on (Cobra not so much), so I base a lot of my opinion on potential for custom fodder rather than finished product. Seeing wave 9(? - the Hawk/Bazooka wave) up close & personal at the Canadian 'Con proves that Hasbro can make a perfect wave. This one just wasn't it. No real complaints -- I'm just waiting a wave or two until I go nuts buying multiples again.

I'm still waiting for them to show up in my neck of the woods.

My only disappointment is that I've yet to find it.

I'll make my decision once I actually see them. Until then, the pictures I've seen lead me to believe this wave is OK, but not great.

OK, the WDM TRU I went to had Duke and Snake Eyes, and they still do. I'll probably get them eventually, but $$ is tight right now, and I need to make a mortgage payment before I shell out for those two.

Ok, so I got my 2 cases from BBTS. I love the HISS driver. I love the Vipers, though their goggles come off way too easy. Spirit is good too.

Wild Bill...what to say. His head is tiny. I mean, it's tiny. Looking at it upsets me. I only have 5 favorite characters that were must haves

Law and Order...if ever made
Bazooka
Mutt...if ever made
Dusty...if ever made
Wild BIll.

Bazooka looks good from the pics...so I am psyched. But Wild Bill...he is the biggest let down.

I bought a helicopter from I believe BBI or something or other that looks like a Dragonfly...only more realistic. I wanted so bad to get that Wild Bill. He was actually my first vehicle/figure when I was little. I get him and I am really upset by it. Not angry..but like..supremely disappointed. I am not going to [LASER BLAST] at Hasbro because they are doing what they gotta do and they are putting out some top o the line stuff. Just, Wild Bill....*sigh*

And no more Snake Eyes and Duke. The cases I bought each had 2 Vipers and 2 Snake Eyes...I have 2 extra Snakes....(I always open 1 and keep the rest MOC minty to put them on the Wall of Fame.)

I haven't gotten this wave yet and I'm not sure when I will. When I do though Wild Bill will be the first I track down. Would a modified Buzzer head work okay for Bill? I have an extra Buzzer that I could tweak if necessary.
