I hear something called Goof Off can remove that hideous 5 o'clock shadow. Which department exactly would I find that? Cleaning supplies?

Bleh I knew Grunt wasn't going to be graced with a new head, but Flash's, that's really disappointing. I mean two of the original 13 sharing a head, ok that's fine by me. But three of them....too 82 for me. I'll probably still pick up the joe pack though and just replace Grunt's head with the comic pack one, I always preferred the comic look over the ugly guy with a receding hair line.

Isn't that just keeping up with how things were down back in the day though? Thye really are celebrating all of the RAH GI Joe's past. :D

And the first person to photoshop a white wig and dress onto Grunt wins at the interwebz.

Woot. I wasn't that excited about these originally but since I decided to not army build the 25th anniversary figs picking up the Crimson set will take care of my two desired crimsonguards. Duke will be be foddered out.

Duke is the same figure that will be coming single carded with the JUMP & US flag. The Cobra blue set are also the same as the DVD-pack figures.

I agree with BBB, using the Flash head on Grand Slam AND Grunt is disappointing. Grunt & Grand Slam sharing the same head is fine with me, but Flash AND Grand Slam? They're already in identical uniforms.

Pluv, if they really wanted to do just like they did back then, they'd have used the same head for Rock&Roll & Breaker; the same for Hawk & Flash; and the same for Grunt & Grand Slam. :-D

I'm very disappointed at the reuse of headsculpts especially since they're reusing a lot of the body tooling. If you're not tooling up a new body, why not spring for a new head for the new characters?!

That said, I'm glad these are coming out. I need a new Joe fix.

See? They /can/ do the 5' o-clock shadow, yet Clutch is going to have a beard? Grrrr. Hm. I wonder, Grunt's head for Breaker, Breaker for Grunt.

Anyone else think they modeled the CG Officer off of the CG Commander?

especially if they would have given him a black helmet

You know, that makes a lot of sense. I was wondering where they got that hideous color scheme from. Not a big fan, but the regular CG is good as always and crimson CC is interesting, although perhaps a bit unnecessary. :-/ I'll still pick up at least one pack.

I'll be passing on the Crimson set. Dunno yet about the Cobra blues.

When i get Grand Slam, he will be getting Ace's head, as i think i may be its only fan.

As for Grunt, the 5o'clock shadow and lack of visor might be enough to allow him to remain intact. But if a better new-style head presents itself, off it comes. He could end up with a repainted Hawk head, since my Hawk is adorned with CP Duke's noggin.

And I agree with you. Perhaps some of our sculpting friends out here can make us some better heads for the original 13 guys?
