50th Anniversary on TRU for preorder

Wow - nothing really jumps out at me as something I want to get (even for fodder), but holy hell, I love that Spirit/Storm Shadow pack. Not sure what it is -but I really want that 2-pack.

I debated getting what I did get for a few minutes before pulling the trigger. Skipped the CC/Shipwreck pack and the Alpine and DVD figure sets and missed out on Gung-ho/Shadow Guard and the Steel Brigade/IG packs. I really wanted that IG too because he's got the camo that was dropped from the 30th version and I only got 1 of the camoed POC version.

And if I get the SDCC Basilisk (Snow Cat) set I'll drop that regular one from my preorder.

But like Chief, there isn't anything here that really WOWed me. The Crimson Skystriker in the SDCC set and Chuckles are probably the 2 items I want the most and the rest I could live without. But there is enough in each set that I can do something with and 3 figures for $20 isn't a bad price at all, even for repaints.

Apparently, according to their Facebook page, Silent Strike is the only one that BBTS will be getting.

Weird, I wonder why that's the only item? I'm pretty sure that set will be easy to find in stores.

Both Big Bad Toy Store and Entertainment Earth have cases of two packs up. BBTS has a case for $149.99 and EE has a case for $119.99 plus free shipping. I know where I'm ordering mine.

I finally figured out the new twist that the new brand manager promised us--they're even more over priced than before!

BBTS has gotta lower their price on a set. You get six extra figures from EE when ordering a case as you do from BBTS for a set of five packs, for the exact same price.

I've been a BBTS fan for a while now, but that EE deal was so much better I had to go that way on that case of 2-packs. Plus free shipping.

Looks like BBTS either changed their mind or their Facebook rep was mis-informed. Anyway, good on them for stocking the line even if they are more expensive than EE.

After going back and forth, I went ahead and placed an order for a case of 2-packs at EE. Their shipping cost to Canada is atrocious, but right now it looks like my best bet to snag a Gung-Ho pack. I'll cancel if a better option comes along. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the trilingual packaging means we'll see these up here.

Have them shipped to me if you like, I'll ship them to you loose. That might save a good chunk of change.

Yes they came in early. I just got off the phone with them a few minutes ago. They said it should take 3 to 8 days for shipping. Mine will ship out after the first of August.
