I think the star is a 50th anniversary celebration logo.

I dunno. I'm betting that Flint will be pretty short compared to some of the other more recent "ultimate" figures.

That and the sleeves being wrong make me less excited about him.

I just hope I get a chance to buy both sets.

Per Justin over at GeneralsJoes we got official confirmation from TRU that this set will be available at TRU (online and probably stores) after SDCC.

What's the stuff hanging off Flint's backside? It looks to be the same color as his pants and suspenders, but I can't tell what it is.

He's got a knife sheath at the waist and a machete sheath on his back.

FYI if you're going to SDCC this will be at Entertainment Earth's booth NOT the Hasbro Toy Shop booth, as EE handles all of TRU's SDCC exclusives.

What kind of price difference will we see between this SDCC set and the camo version once it hits TRU?

My guess is that there won't be a price difference between the two sets at any given time. However, knowing TRU's history of randomly increasing the prices of their exclusives, it's entirely possible that the price of the SDCC set and the camo set will both increase from the SDCC price at some point after it reaches the shelves.

Does anyone know if this Flint has a removable beret?

He does not. The figure uses the Resolute headsculpt.

So what ended up happening to the head the con set Flint was originally supposed to have?

It's funny. The con promo pic looks like it uses Retaliation Flint's head (which is what came out), but the press release said new head. Who knows?
