Considering the toylines for both ROC and Retaliation pretty much flopped, I'm hardly surprised. Both times retailers ended up sitting on a lot of first-wave stock that just didn't move.
Joe's just not managing to thrive in today's world. It's sad, but it's true, and it needs some serious reinvention to become a kid-appealing marketing hit.

Well, at least I'll get to see potential new SW figures and vehicles.

Whatever happened to that thing where each of the big Joe sites were allowed to submit five or so questions to Hasbro and they answered them? Wasn't that usually around ToyFair or Con time?

It ended in early 2011. Don't recall a reason being given.

Yeah they stopped doing the Q&A's for all of the toylines that they had them for.

Somebody please ask why they can't get a video game going for Joe. If they can get it done for Lego Batman...

I'm assuming that's when they were downsizing & fired a bunch of people. Of course the ones taking the questions must have been a PR firm they contracted out.

I am not looking forward to any Marvel movie figures any more.
The Winter Soldier line is practically done already.

Seriously, what's to care about?
An MU line that never even looked in the general direction of its potential and is now being revamped to certain greater-suckitude in the long run than the last dregs of MU figs still in the pipe shows, a SW line that's schizoid about who its customers are (never half-ass two things; whole-ass one thing, stupids), and a dead-in-its-boots Joe line that hopes whatever crap Hollywood pinches out will do all their non-manufacturing work for them.

It's never been more blatantly obvious that there's no such thing as 'Hasbro', just employees that cycle through the company and around the industry; and the employees in charge nowadays suck.

IF they want to "re-launch" successfully at some point, I sure hope someone there has taken notes on how they are being schooled by Playmates (TMNT) at the game they themselves helped create back in the day.

Now I see the risk, when I say that, that some Hasbro exec will learn the completely wrong thing ("hey these oversized cartoony proportion figures are a HIT with the kids"). I am referring, of course, to staying true to the scale and articulation, but modeling the TMNT approach to marketing, cross-platforming, and distribution.

... you know what the best part about Hasbro not having any Joe at this year's NY Toy Fair or product on the shelves in 2014?

The Frickin' Awesome Customs we will see this year.

I can't wait....

Note that they didn't even mention the Infinite line!!!
They totally dropped the ball on the Thor 2 & The Wolverine movie figures. Cap 2 only has 6 figures. They didn't even attempt to make any Star Trek 2 figures. I have part ideas floating around in my head for some. Easily could have been done using Joe parts.
Does Hasbro even still make toys anymore?!?!?! Please Spectre sgcaper and bcost74 ask them this!!! Seriously the lack of product at retail is disappointing!

Nope, they suck, too. The FoC Grimlock I got is only half there! the *entire* back side of him is completely missing, and the plastic quality is what I'm familiar with from my shampoo bottles. Plus he looks like he's got a fat ass in dino mode. Considering I bought Alternators for the same price just a few years ago, this fig is crap.
