Isn't there already enough 5 POA crap out there that no one buys?

Those are some great properties mentioned, but I don't want to pay those prices for something that can barely move.

The Universal Monsters are the only ones here I would be interested in, but it depend on how they look and the price. I already have the mego/Burger King Dracula, Creature From the Black Lagoon, Frankenstein' Monster and Wolfman, and the mini-torch Mummy (Karloff version and Creature from the Black Lagoon, All in 4" scale. I repainred the CftBL and did customs of Dracula (with a Christopher Lee head), Frankentein's Monster with The Beide. Quite honestly, if these figures are no better, I will keep my wallet closed. Reserving Judgement until I see them.

My wish list for UNiversal Monsters (with decent articulation)

Dracula (Bela Lugosi) with bat, coffin, candlestick and armadillo
Van Helsing (Edward va Sloan) with stake and mallet
Renfield (Dwight Fry) with assortment of bugs

Dr Frankenstein with lab equipment and generator
The Monster (Karloff) with The Bride (?) (two pack) with lab table
Fitz (Dwight Fry) with brain in jar and flaming torch
Dr Pretorius (Ernest Thesiger) with bottle of brandy, skull and collection of miniature creatures in jars
Inspector Krogh (Lionel Atwill) with removable right arm and pistol
Minnie (Una O'Connor)

The Wolf Man (Lon Chaney version)

The Mummy/Imhotep (Karloff) with sarcophagus
Ardath Bey (Karloff) with papyrus scroll, knife and canopic jars

The Invisible Man with aletrnate clear (Claude Rains) head and clear hands

The Creature from the Black Lagoon with hybrid human/creature (The Creature Walks Among Us) Two pack

I'm with you guys about new 'Kenner' figs. But I'm most interested by the 4H PowerLords stuff, esp the Wayne Barlowe designed aliens like Gripptogg.

I'm not interested in these at any price. Crappy sculpts and crappy articulation? I don't care how awesome the property is, I can't use them and I wouldn't take them if they were free.

I'm sorry, is that Firefly on that list I see? The glorious space cowboy show deserves better. I mean, seriously? Uarticulated 3 3/4" figures in 1970s/80s aesthetics based on Joss Whedon's masterpiece FIREFLY? that is a horrible idea.

I wish Hasbro would make the crew of Serenity.

There's nothing appealing to me about these retro style toys that aren't really retro. I really don't get how it's becoming a trend now but I imagine it will be shortlived. For the best.

Haaaang on there one minute. All we know is they will be "retro" and they may in some way resemble the Alien figures. Has anyone said for sure these are 5 POA? I'm down with that, but it remains a possibility that they could go with articulation from each era. Unlikely, but possible.

Maybe we should reserve judgment until we know for sure, that way there's less crow eating later. I'm almost certain you are correct (since 5 POA is much easier on molding and less expensive since there are fewer parts) but still.

This will be a fun new line, plus they'll be fully Glyos compatible which is awesome.

I'd bet that "Retro" means 5 POA, I can see them unite all their lines with the same level of spectacularly bad articulation. I wish they would remember that Kenner did put some knee articulation of some action figure lines, like Butch and Sundance: The Early Days around 1979.

From the movie starring William Katt and Tom Berenger. Also, it's your only chance to get an action figure of Brian Dennehy.

Greatest American Hero William Katt? really?

I had no idea there was a prequel movie. I guess the raindrops are falling in my head now. :shifty:

Yep, but that don't mean your eyes will soon be turning red.

The Mint Wagon was pretty fun, it came with two guards with 0 POA, and that gatling gun on top rotated 360 degrees.

If they add knee articulations, then they'll go for $20 like the upcoming 6 Million Dollar Man.

I know we are grousing about prices but really, it's like $20 for a figure or $1,000's for prototypes, which don't exist for these other figures, but c'mon. Buy it or don't. But complaining just because something is available and costs money is a little silly.

I'm not bent out of shape Ferraris exist. I'd like to have one, but it's cost doesn't irritate me.

A $6,000,000 Man, for only $20... looking at it that way, it seems like a really good deal! :-D
