Subset largely untouched by anyone in over 20 years....SKY PATROL. Only Sky Dive got a generic (masked) remake.

Got working parachutes available (Retaliation Cobra Trooper) and a chromed Sky Patrol Tomahawk could be the big vehicle.

Cobra? Not sure. Flak Vipers updated? A few others.

Cobra Sky Patrol Black Vulture, Flying Scorpion as a two pack?

Doesn't surprise me that Tiger Force Tripwire was in the works. They'd still have to get that ROC emblem out of there, but who knows? If the design was originally intended for Tiger Force, that emblem might have been a separate imprint.

Billy -- you know, that's a good point. There's never been a figure of him. Granted, early on, it might've been difficult. Little kid figure in what, a Cobra Scout uniform carrying a pistol? Yeah, THAT would've set off the parents. But he did mature into an adult, albeit a rather short one. I would've once thought that since he was a Marvel creation, there might've been some problems, but what the heck, we got Kwinn, we got the Oktober Guard, and both Devil's Due and IDW have used Billy, even if in both instances he didn't survive very well.

Chrome Sky Patrol Tomahawk. Please don't make me drool on my keyboard...

My understanding is that if a character is created and first appears in the licensed book (like G.I. Joe) then it belongs to the licensor (Hasbro). There's a Marvel character (I forget who at the moment) that was set to appear in a licensed Marvel book (ROM or Transformers maybe I think) that was put into a regular Marvel book before it appeared in the licensed book just so that Marvel would own that character. So in the instance of Billy, because he was only seen in the G.I. Joe books he's Hasbro's property, same with Wraith and Zanya from DDP and the new characters in the IDW books.

Death's Head from the UK Transformers comics, as well as Circuit Breaker from the US TF stuff both had appearances in non-licensed books so Marvel retains ownership. Billy is certainly up for grabs, and I agree, a no-brainer.

Sky Patrol and Tiger Force would both be good sets. However I have concerns about the execution of the vehicles. Chroming tends to be expensive so I can't see the club dropping much if any on chroming entire vehicles. Tiger Force was done in 2004, but the Tiger Ray was just orange and lacked the proper tiger striping. Still a decent vehicle, but not quite right.

Excellent point. They didn't even chrome Mortal's head last set, supposedly due to environmental issues. Given that if they do go with Sky Patrol, I imagine the vehicles would just be molded/painted silver, and not chromed.

Billy sucks. I hope the 'club' DOES make him.

And, of course, we've gotten figures of both Wraith and Zanya. So yeah, maybe Billy's overdue. I can't see putting him in a Con Set, but maybe FSS 3...

Of course, I find myself wondering if we'll ever get a Pythona (although I'd prefer her in the original style, like Big Lob). Talk about overdue...

Sky Patrol would be my preferred choice. I was never a huge fan of Tiger Force, and the only reason I have 25th TF Duke and Flint is because I ended up with a Tiger Rat, Tiger Paw and Tiger Sting in a vehicle lot. I just thought they'd look cool with the vehicles. I would be interested in the SP vehicles in shiny silver over being chromed if that were to be the case.
I wouldn't be opposed to BF2K as a Con set either, but the only problem is the BF2K was as much the vehicles as they were the figures. Without the vehicles, those figures are kinda dull and stand out like sore thumbs.
Dr. Bindy, you're correct about Frostbite. I hate to thing that we'd get an accurate figure for an arctic trooper, but he'd be in TF colours.

I wouldn't mind Sky Patrol. That one, Eco-Warriors, Cobra-La, a modern figure Action Force/Red Shadows set, and Adventure Team would all be great. I don't know if I'd want a Tiger Force. I would have to see the set and make that decision I guess.

Sky Patrol would be my first choice of those mentioned. My favorite sub-team by a mile, and one that I think could be represented well in the modern style. I could see an Eco-Warriors set being kind of cool, too: There are a couple of Eco-Warriors figures I like (mainly Sludge-Viper and Clean-Sweep), but for some reason I can see the rest of the designs working on the modern figures. It would also be a good chance to get some ARAH-style Toxo-Vipers to go along with the rad orange PoC/30th ones. Absolute dead last on the list: Tiger Force. The only thing I ever liked about the TF stuff was its ability to be turned into Adventure Team vehicles courtesy of Nova's ingenious use of rubbing alcohol.

I think this largely sums up my feelings, though I'd probably pick the Eco-Warriors over Sky Patrol even though both are cool options. I'd really prefer to not see Tiger Force unless it is a retail/online 7-pack or something like that, as those designs don't have enough appeal for me to want to pay Club prices.

For the Con set I'd like to see them do something new. My favorite set that they've done (and I have) is the 2007 Tanks for the Memories set. Once you get past the Mauler issue, the box set itself was really solid on all fronts. Great parts combinations and newly tooled parts. Diverse character selection and a fun new group of enemies in the Night Stalkers. And a really good brand new storyline that fits in the Joe mythos without being derivative of anything they've done before. This set shows that the Club can build on the classic Joe vs. Cobra themes while bringing a little something new to the table.

That said, if they have to do something based on an existing "theme" then I'd like to see them revisit the Steel Brigade. Pursuit of Cobra gave us a couple slight variations on the v.1 Steel Brigade figure and combining that with what they did in 2005 would be a very cool set I think.

After the POC and 30th lines, I think I'm good on Steel Brigade for life.

I would really like an Adventure Team set. Granted, the club has already released some of the Adventure Team members but a con set could really integrate the Adventure Team with the regular Joe team. Maybe do something with the Intruders (an Intruder Commander, three Intruders with the gold body armor) and even throw in something like the Man of Evil in 3 3/4" size.
Another possibility that is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out there... Super Joe in 3 3/4". I think the regular guys could be done pretty easily (Super Joe, Super Joe Commander) but Gor, Luminous and the Shield may need new tooling. Just a thought (and I may be the only one would buy the set) ;)
