The OG cargo truck, the only JoeCon vehicle I own,

I don't mean to call you out and make you feel like you have to defend yourself, but I'm going to call you out and make you defend yourself. :-D I, personally, don't get how this vehicle sold out in the first place, much less how it could end up on a "best" list of any kind. So, did you not own the Indiana Jones version? Have you seen the other exclusives? Just have a love for trucks? As a fan of the exclusive, can you please explain to me what I'm missing? I honestly don't get why anybody bought it when it was inferior to the IJ version at 5 times the original retail price.

Well,I do have a love for trucks, and having been a truck driver in the Marines, I have a soft spot for logistics vehicles over the sexier tanks and Light Armored Vehicles I guess :-). I never did have the Indy truck, and I haven't been able to find it for a decent price. I guess it also has to do with having it in hand and right in front of me, rather than just seeing it in pictures like the Night Boomer.

Comparing the truck to the OG Helo, that started out with a crap vehicle and added a cool paint job, but it wasn't enough to really sell me on buying that helo. What I've seen vehicle-wise from the past few years at the Con, the offerings have been not bad, but not great either. I was just going with what I knew. This year, I'll take a pass on trying to find the vehicles.

Tough one.

ARAH style: Ma$ter Collector really did a bang-up job with the entire Tanks for the Memories set, particularly Doc II and Clutch.

NS style: Ma$ter Collector Nullifier

25A/Modern Era: Ma$ter Collector Freestyle or Crimson Asp (this might be because I won't part with the cash to ever own them, though).

Tanks for the Memories con set. Each figure is spectacular. If they had pulled off the tanks, it would have put the set into the stratosphere.

It's true. Master Collector is the name of the old newsletter thing. Brian Savage owns Fun Publications which runs the GI Joe Club, GI Joe Con, Transformers Club, BotCon and the Master Collector newsletter thing they don't do anymore.

It's basically like saying Kenner makes GI Joes.

Having stopped buying from them a few years back, I hadn't realized that they exclusively use "GI Joe Collector's Club" on their product. Good to know. http://www.mastercollector.com/ is still active, though.

I don't own a lot of exclusives, but have been recently acquiring some of the Con sets. My favorite so far has been the Mercenaries set. I hope to acquire the Mars and Vacation in the Shadows sets soon.
I also took a risk and bought/preordered this years SDCC exclusives, and there's a possibility that Jetfire may be a new favorite.

The word best, is entirely subjective, as it relates to each person.

One could say getting the Fridge in the mail back in the day.

Any of the Convention sets.

J_man's Cobra base.

For me, there are a few items am pleased to own, although best is up in the air:

J_man's Trubble Bubble base he made at my suggestion and sent me.

My USS Flagg ballcap.

My Oktober Guard Con Set.

The recent poster that the nice gentleman charged just $5.00 (which is also my desktop pic).

The Dreadnoks set.

Just a few that I am glad to own.

I didn't really start paying attention to the exclusives until just a few years ago. What is your favorite of all time? Can be a vehicle or a figure. Not limited to SDCC. Any exclusive.

The 2005 Gung-ho is a strong contender for my favorite pick. It's Gung-ho (good character, I don't think an over-done one, do you guys?), but in an original Gung-ho mold that wasn't a strong one originally, with more modern plastic, and a cool camo pattern to boot. Grenade launcher was a very fitting weapon choice, too.

For me, it's the Mission to Brazil set. I held that set in my hands every time I visited Toys R Us for weeks. I never told my parents I wanted it, but they had to see me looking at it every time we went to the toy store. On Christmas morning, there it was. The figs quickly became some of the most used of my collection.

The Sears SMS is right behind these for much the same reason. But, the figures from the MTB set win out.

I would have to agree with you guys who said the Tanks for the memory's set. It's on my to get list. The only club stuff I own however is from the '04 set. I managed to pick up morphing zartan at a show last year and Batdan hooked me up with the incredible tiger ray.
