I'm interested in the Night-Viper, as well. One of my favorite all-time Cobra specialist troopers. But like Spin Doctor, I want to see some decent pictures of it before I get excited about it.

And a job. So you can buy one without starving.

The Night Viper was also very underwhelming, as I recall.

I'm surprised by the reaction here. I'm quite excited to get a few of these along with some night vipers next year. Definitely the highlight of the offerings so far, along with gray jammies Firefly, 1985 Snake Eyes and 30th Torpedo (Eel).

30th Torpedo Eel was in the concept case. I don't think it's expected to become reality though.

30th Torpedo Eel was confirmed as a Wave 2 Alpha vehicle set for the G.I. Joe: Retaliation line in 2013.

Good resource (if I do say so myself):

Joedeclassified has some images of production samples of the CG and Night-Viper:

I think they both look freakin' fantastic and hope they're both available in decent numbers.

Sorry NFC, I think you were confusing it with Either the concept EEL (which looked like an EEL and not Torpedo) or the concept Sigma Six inspired Arctic Diver Ripcord.

Yeah I was thinking about the concept Eel in the 85 colors that used the Relatiation SE as the base figure. I forgot about the version with the raft.

I don't think there was an Eel in 85 colors that used Retaliation SE as the base....

There was one using ROC Breaker's torso with the same old 25th Anniversary Eel chestpiece and helmet fit (poorly) on top of it:

But he's RED! Clearly you guys don't understand that if a Cobra is red, it will be a hit. :shifty:

I much prefer the 30th helmet to the 25th one.

Hmmm -- Night-Viper, not bad. Good use of the colors and emblems (I've always sort of liked that bright green Cobra emblem), but the uniform is a little underwhelming. He really only looks impressive with every last bit of his accessories attached.

Thanks for the pic link, Jay!

You were at least half-right. The legs and (to my eyes, at least) the upper arms are the Retaliation Wave 2 Snake-Eyes. Good eye; I wouldn't have recognized the legs if I hadn't read that.
