My son (8 years old) and I are so in for these. We've already been planning how we are going to display these. He's very excited.

I know a certain Doctor o' Spin who might celebrate his February birthday by buying these for his Lego crazed son.

I thought we were all past the point of saying we're buying these for our kids.

I think that the minifigures are a draw for both Lego and Kreo to any of their sets. And G.I.Joe is the Hasbro brand that will translate the best to minifigures.

What would really sell me on Kreo in general is if it hit on more Hasbro brands, even if there were just a few minifigures to do so. Like a Jem SDCC Kre-o or a Merklynn. Then I could have the whole Hasbro universe all in one scale and expression.

I also have to say that I really like that they appear to be targeting 82.

Good job Hasbro.

I know I'm gonna end up getting a lot more of these than I'll think sensible (if only because it'll be keen to get some of our fave Joe/COBRA vehicles in brick form), but...

too bad Freo got the license though, I would have preferred Mega Blok style minifigs.

This. I'm never gonna get excited about these since they don't have swivel-arm battle grip like a *real* GI Joe should. Make the mini-figs actual figures worthy of playing with themselves, not as cartoony accessories for the build-a-whatever like LEGO figs and Kreons are, imho. Hell, them li'l bastids are so cheap there's no reason both styles can't be done, imho.

Kre-O is a Hasbro-owned property, to them it's better than licensing.

as much as I love G.I.Joe and Lego, I think I'll take a pass on this... just because I don't want to start another new collection.

Built-To-Rule sets, however, would still be cool for my collection if they get re-issued.

Waiting for the fan outrage when they don't produce 80's sets.

Seriously though, if they don't crank out that original 13 in Kre-O version, it's like they had my wallet open and just decided "Nah, got enough money."

Ditto. They better not be teasing us with that poster... Grunt, Steeler, Zap, Stalker, Flash, Scarlett, and the MOBAT better in fact be the first set. And Hawk, Grand Slam, Rock n Roll, Short-Fuze, Clutch, and the VAMP better also be in development. We all know 9 different Snake Eyes are sure to come out in 2013.

It's really surprising no version of Snake Eyes is not being teased in the poster.

Well the Kre-o teaser is based on Marvel #1
Image

But it surprises me too that they didn't add Snake Eyes to the lineup or worse substitute him in...

:monocle: Says you. The difference between toys I buy for me and the toys I buy for her is that she occasionally gets to play with the ones for her. Occassionally...under adult supervision...and not for too long...and only after she washes her germ infested peanut butter smudged, booger picking hands.

Disappointed only that this means no Lego G.I. Joe video game, as my son adores all of the properties that get video game versions

I hope that they'll make a Stars and Stripes type of boxset with the OG13 mini figures and a little hill.
