Like drbindy did, there will be fodder here and there if you keep looking.  I will be happy to go back and make some things I have wanted for a while.

That is actually a great point.  Perhaps it's looking too much for the silver lining.  But I've also seen it made before elsewhere that customizing stands to gain quite a bit of prominence once again, if there is a serious lack of new product to buy.  The chance to get creative again and make use of extra figs I've stashed away over the last 5 years (rather than constantly spending to buy newer base figures) has some appeal to me.
