And I would burn BadAsh with some hot fryer oil from Taco Time to get that black panther fig.

I can say I didn't buy these to play with, which is rare for me and toys, but I loved making customs with them and they looked great on a shelf together.

This was the line that got me back into collecting Joes and it is by far the most fun I've had with a toy line in my adult life. MOTUC comes a close second. I wept when I saw that prototype Scarlett at JoeCon in '07 and nearly broke in to the dealers room after hours to steal that Colton and gorilla set. Okay not really but man did I want to, real bad like in a go to bang you in the ass prison would be worth it way.

There is only one format of GI Joe I've adopted full board other than ARAH, and that is Sigma 6. Unlike new sculpt, which I strongly dislike, and 25th, which I'm apathetic towards, Sigma 6 was different enough from what I collected to garner my attention, and was in many ways more faithful in spirit to the characters than the new sculpt had been. Speaking of spirit, when it did update characters like Spirit, it was well remembered characters that showed their age who got rebooted in fun new ways. The aesthetics were consistent across the entire line, again a step up from new sculpt, and there was unity of theme and purpose to Sigma 6. It is still GI Joe's most poseable format, the fore bearer of a lot of articulation changes introduced throughout the 25th format, and just a fun toy to get in hand.

Makes me wish that Joe fans were more accepting of other formats like Transformers collectors are, that way we could get a con set of the unproduced S6 stuff at least. Though I suppose TF Animated was accepted to the degree it was because the cartoon was so good, something that definitely can't be said for Sigma Six. While I love a lot of the current offerings, I still think Sigma Six was a great attempt to revitalize the franchise. I wanted to hate the figures when they were first announced, but the style and playability won me over.

Fun, yes, most poseable, no. The 12" figures are the most poseable Joes.

I enjoyed Sigma 6, but I am also a fan of the 12" figures, RAH, and the modern version. I would have loved to see that Joe Colton in stores, Joe has evolved really from his first few years. Military and Adventure both are trade marks of the brand and Sigma was bringing both to the market.
