For me, character is a big part of it. If you look at my top 4, those are really strong characters in the comics and cartoon. It isn't really until the teens before I sell out for good toys over good characters. But I know if I did 100, I'd really be scraping the barrel character-wise.

Both of these hold very true for me, many of the characters I played with most as a kid always had the most developed characters. Tracker, for example is someone that was never shown in the Marvel comic or cartoon (except for an appearance in one or two DIC episodes) and the figure isn't highly regarded among collectors because of the odd color scheme and pants. However, Tracker was always a major player to me, and would defintely be near the top of my list.
Pathfinder, Dodger, Big Ben, Salvo, and Heavy Duty are also great examples of this. These figures saw a lot more use from me than Duke, Snake Eyes, Hit n Run, Clutch and Low Light
