You know, 25th Bazooka was a set of double-hinged knees away from being ultimate.

I honestly disagree. They used a bulky muscle torso for him when even in the fiction he was no beefier than the average member of the team. I just thought it made him look off-model.

Look at his original card art again. He was pretty beefy. The only reason he might appear off would be that 25th Gung Ho was anorexic by comparison and the original Roadblock just wasn't as massive as he needed to be.

For me, it'd be a proper modern update to V15 Cobra Commander, which was already basically perfect at the time it came out. Throw in 2 spare heads- hooded and Marvel unmasked(or go deluxe ultimate and give him Marvel, Sunbow, and vintage toy unmasked heads).

Totally agree with this. A definitive CC has yet to be made in modern-era form. This would be a solid template.

great thread.

I agree on Snow Job and Low Light. The upcoming Lifeline and Airtight fit the bill for me as well. Same with that PoC Snake Eyes. Resolute Roadblock is an Ultimate version in my opinion as well. The PoC Alley viper would fall into that category for me as well, even without the traditional colors.

I've been trying to cobble together an Ultimate Duke for a couple of years now. Thought I had one I liked, but keep changing my mind.

I agree with Resolute Roadblock. That's a great version. I'm looking forward to how Hasbro treats the Rock as Roadblock, but I have a feeling that figure is going to be "The Rock". I'd love to see Hasbro do a Sideshow inspired Duke. Sideshow took the WW2 inspired Duke and did a great job adding modern touches.
What about PoC Dusty? I think the hip armor is the major detraction. Otherwise its a pretty cool figure, with multiple heads and tons of accessories.

And what of Destro, here's a character with almost 30 versions?
I'm partial to

PoC Snow Job would be the ultimate if you could remove his helmet.

I'm really happy with both Spirits we've gotten.

The TRU Quick Kick is really good and if you switch out the DVD sash he's got it all.

I love the crap out of the BAT with the battle damaged head and chest plate. I don't think they can perfect that any more than they have.
