Iron Klaw's art looks good though, at least for photoshopped Destro art...

The Jinx doesn't look good. They used the photorealistic face and plopped it on the old comicy looking body. The styles don't mesh.

Man...I'm almost starting to feel Bad for the Club... It's like watching a Chubby little kid with no athletic talent at all, step up the the plate and just Flail away at a pitch with no hope of hitting it.

That City Strike Scarlett artwork looked SOO much better the way Mike Thompson showed it on his Blog.

Haha, yeah now I have to say it looks exactly like something Liefeld would do. It's all basically traced using Photoshop.

They BASTARDIZED Mike Thompson's gorgeous art. It's blasphemous.

Wow. The first 2 look like they come from the Sistine Chapel compared to the Jinx art.

Here's what they said on Facebook about Jinx... someone commented about the head looking too big:

Quote:
G.I. Joe Collectors' Club - The head looks SLIGHTLY oversize due to the cropping of the image.

Hehe, I found that funny.

It's a little ironic to me that the wonderful card art and masterfully written Hama filecards back in the day sold the simplistic figures to my imagination.

All things being proportionate, you would think all the Club sunscription figures would have to be perfect to make up for the crappy art and sure-to-be-sub-standard, cross-promotional writing on their "updated" file cards.

And yet...

I don't know nothing about these say "top shelf" to me. For things priced like high end "collectibles" I expect more.

oh wait we don't the price do we?

While I do agree Jinx' art is bad, the others aren't any worse than the original art Hasbro did for the 25th line. Serpentor, Wild Bill, Cobra disguise Flint, etc, all had art that was a far cry from the ARAH art. Yeah, nicer art would be cool, but I wasn't expecting it. The con set art has been dismal too. At least we avoided Greg Horn. . .

Jinx doesn't seem that bad to me. I'd say it is the second best piece after the Nano BAT.

This looks like something you'd find in one of those dollar store coloring books.

It's that bad...

I guess I don't get art, cause I don't understand how these are somehow the worst art ever associated with G.I. Joe. It's as if no one ever read the Cobra series.
