Right...the cost is because this guy is making and selling these himself. Hes not mass producing them by the thousands. Anyone who uses resin and silicon can tell you how expensive that stuff is, and everytime you got the portions off, you lose the material. Considering the amount of work put into creating the original, and casting all the parts, yeah $300 is probably reasonable.

Yeah, when single cast figures can go for $50-60, a vehicle this size by definition has to be in the hundreds.
I'm jealous I can't spring for one of these.

I could understand the cost as this isn't a manufacturer casting and selling this. Even roto-cast isn't cheap for an individual.

Right, what came to mind as a comparison was some of the bbi/JSI 1:18 scale helicopters & jets that were fragile, borderline museum quality replicas, and were selling for around $100plus, at least for JSI's stuff last time I checked.

I have to say, as much as I appreciate that people like the APC I made, I do not like the disrespect of calling another custom "crap". And in this case it certainly is not. It's actually cleaner than mine. A great looking custom, IMO. As for the interior- that can be added.

Well my point about it being crap is if I'm going to spend $300 for it then it had better be already modded inside as well as outside.. This is nothing more than a large model that don't have a lot of play value other than being a background piece... It is a nice piece but definitely not worth $300 JUST to have to customize it for holding figures that should already be done.. I'm glad people have money to throw away on things like this to mod but think I'd be more fulfilled doing it the way you did it than buying this JUST to add stuff that should be there already... adding another bottom....adding chairs and laptops... and making the top to be able to open.... going to cost DOUBLE the price then....

I spent $250 on mine, and had a bunch of styrene left over to make almost countless projects. So I'd say it could be reproduced for $150 or so. If I were to sell mine I'd ask somewhere around $500.

JFak, I don't think I saw yours?

Regarding the model itself; there is a 1/16 version that decked out. It will cost $700.00 plus shipping from overseas. Not even sure how many are still available.

I bought what I needed because there is nothing else close. One company would charge $2000.00 for just 1. And smaller than this; I passed.

Yes, there could be more, but, it's any buyers preference. I usually modify these vehicles so bare bone kit is fine. Price paid is convenience and availability.
