I think this figure looks great, just as it did at Joecon. It is definitely Salvo's chest. I think Bazooka's chest is the obvious choice, but I don't think it is bad that they went another route that works. The change of race really goes a long way to making the figure feel new, more than it does when a head reuse means identical characters.

The only things I would change are the lips and the whites of the eyes. They may add to the appearance of the figure, but they take away from Big Lob's ability to blend in with the 1987 collection.

It is for-sure:

90 Salvo torso
90 Ambush waist/legs
92 Gung-Ho arms
06 Mercer head

Really not a surprising parts list at all. It works well and nice to see an ARAH figure this year.

I like him. Double extra bonus points for being a nearly extinct classic sculpt figure.

From the neck down, it isn't a bad figure. The head is horrendous. Mercer in black face and lipstick really doesn't work for me, like someone else said. I wish the parts were a little bit more unique, too. Definitely not as cool as the past few club figures.

I like it.

a nod to the old, but with the extra detail that the club brings to it's exclusives.

I'm re-joining.

Now we need a taller, 25th/RoC/PoC-style Big Lob for the modern era peeps!

Come on Hasbro! I'll take back every mean thing I said about the Q&As! ;-)

You know, this figure has everything working against it by my personal tastes (old sculpt parts, goofy proportions, a character I couldn't give two poops in a port-a-John about), but I still think it's a great bone to throw to old sculpt and animated movie fans. One, I think, the club can put in it's "win" column. In fact, I'm so tickled by it, I may make a 25th version.

My thoughts exactly, Spinny.

I hate everything about this figure, but seeing the love poured on by the fans here really renders my opinion worthless. I'm glad the ARAH fans and Big Lob cheerleaders are getting something they like. It would have sucked balls for folks to wait so long and be disappointed.

Now hurry up and make that 25A version so I can copy it off you ;-)

Bazooka's chest would have been TOO obvious, since both he and Big Lob wear the number "14" (which I wonder if it has any special significance around Hasbro). I'm glad it wasn't.

I'm also pleased this is a ARAH figure, for various reasons, but particularly because I believe that to be the appropriate format for this character. He debuted in 1987, and never got a figure. His figure should be ARAH.

My biggest concern was the use of the Mercer head, but I think it works amazingly well. To me, it honestly doesn't look that much like Mercer. I don't see this as "Mercer in black-face". Painting the whites of the eyes especially helps.

Although as both an O-ring and Sunbow fan, I love that the Club will be providing us with a Big Lob figure, I am having trouble with the face. It looks like RuPaul decided to dress up like Big Lob for Halloween. :shifty:

I'm hoping the face looks better in person.

Not my cup of tea, but I'm glad to see others like him.

Shouldn't it have been a Vikings jersey since Bazooka is from Minnesota?
