I still haven't seen these vehicles, though. I look at any Walmart I go to but I still only see the old tank, helicopter and cool jeep thing.

As some requested, here is a picture of the new tank, the DIRE WOLF, scanned from the package.

Despite some thought that it's a previous release, it doesn't look familiar to me. Okay, I'm not a CORPS expert, but I don't recall a Corps tank with that many sculpted ridges on it.

It looks cool. I'll likely get it when I see it.

Now that I've found the GH/CH wal mart two pack, I'm gonna get me a Komotto and make it a "Resolute" stinger.

It initially came from Lanard's "Total Soldier" line, a barely-seen line of Chap Mei-styled toys, although it appears to have crossed over to the Corps line before, if these advertisements in the UK are to be believed:

It's not a bad piece, I have one from the Total Soldier line myself, which was in a more military green but had a silver barrel which I repainted, the barrel also extends a bit more than what's shown in the pice. The tank is based on the Cadillac Gage Stingray light tank, which only the Thai army uses.

Interesting.
I wasn't too keen on it because it seemed undersized like the Chap Mei Bradley tank, but according to the pic on its Wikipedia article, it looks scaled enough.

Okay, so the tank has been out before. I guess Lanard's fibbing a little on that one being all new. Still, I don't have one (although Dzirhan's excellent photos make it look a little more familiar somehow), and I'll probably still get it when I see one. Still a cool tank in my opinion.

Well, technically it's brand new for the Corps line , I got the tank as part of the Total Soldier line years ago, it's probably familiar because someone posted a pic of it at that time

Yes, Total Soldier was produced by Lanard, I think they were probably trying for a Chap Mei style line to market in Asia and Europe, the figures had similar articulation to Chap Mei plus a number of oversized accessories. They had the tank, (in two versions, the camo pattern in my pic and a solid green tank with a black barrel) a fang clone and a jeep in the line. I recall posting news of the line on the Pit mailing list when I first came across it.

The Lanard Total Soldier line was sold for awhile in the seasonal Kool Toys style boxes at Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart (where I found them most often), Etc.

The Dire wolf has been out as part of the corps line since at lease 2003 or so.
Here is a pic in the older Corps packaging.
I got this one at the Lanard Warehouse Christmas Sale, but I have two others I have scored on ebay from the years mentioned. This version has the action recall, my other two do not.

I think it is a bit undersized for a tank, call it MOBAT sized, but for play value I like it, it is bigger than the Hiss, yet not huge like a scaled M1A1.

but I think passes off pretty well since it is supposed to be a light tank, funny enough until this thread came out, the tank I had was somewhat gathering mothballs in my storage box, I should get some of my older vehicles out more often
