I don't know why people care one way or the other about Snake Eyes mouth. Of all the things to like or dislike, that one is the last thing on my list for being cool or stupid about the movie. So many other things I care about more than his mouth.

Here are 10 reasons why the new Snake Armor is cool.
1) It's a robot.
2) It's a super suit vehicle.
3) It has attachments like the BAT.
4) It was so cool when it was released it came in Blue (2nd version) and Red (UK Red Shadow) colors.
5) It was so cool it showed up in both the first cartoon mini series and the comic.
6) It is so cool today that EA put it in the video game.
7) This is how Deep Six's dive suit should have been.
8) It is an old school Joe toy seeing a re-release.
9) Whatever Target charges will be cheaper then getting a complete on on ebay.
10) Its design still holds up today. It is still cutting edge technology. It is still a fun toy I think kids will like.

The SNAKE definitely has some throwback sci-fi appeal. Though I'll probably end up picking up one or two, partly because the included Neo-Viper looks really cool too (I think the helmet works much better in black with the red eyes). But, it's one of those items that have no strong feelings for - I'm happy that it is getting released, but I wouldn't have missed it if it had never been reused.

As for the mouth on Snake Eyes, I also don't have much of an opinion. I think it seems silly, but it doesn't really bother me.

Maybe Ray needs a Mouth to breathe. Imagine jumping around like a ninja with a rubber mask over your head. Would you rather have a mouth or a few pin sized air holes?

Ugh, that Park..friggin mouth-breather.

1. I think the "old school sci-fi" answer is as right as anything as far as the SNAKE is concerned. It's a bit wonky, but still manages to be cool, and in black? That's a bit cooler.

2. Funny you should mention the mouth on the 1985 Snake-Eyes. I covered mine over with resin putty. I think the objection is that it takes away an element of his anonymity and mystery.

1. Why is SNAKE Armor so popular? I'm seeing a lot of excited fans over the new TRU ROC 2-pack with the black SNAKE Armor. Isn't this thing almost as inarticulate as the original Deep Six? Why do people love it so much?

Personally, I blame violentfx. I was only slightly interested in the SNAKE Armor until he made them look cool in his dio-story. (The particular scene starts here: http://www.violentfix.com/cobra/dio-sto ... er9-10.htm. It's a damn shame he didn't get a chance to finish it.)
