I've lost so many things that way I could fill a page. The worst ones aren't the ones I dropped, it's the ones I just set down on the table--or KNOW I put into a parts drawer--and can't find two minutes later. Parts, accessories, you name it. Currently I'm trying to hunt down a huge pair of tweezers--these things are like 4" long--that I sat down on my table one night, then turned back and wasn't able to find.

But I'm pretty sure my place is haunted, so I say it's the ghostie. :shifty:

Well there was a full moon this week, ghosts are more active.
My twilight zone is an old persian rug that renders all things invisible on its surface, so I actually have to comb it to make things reappear!

Flash vanished like that in 1986.
I played with him before going to school and never saw him ever again.
I looked all over my room and he was nowhere.

Blowtorch had to pick up leadership of my team after that day...

Yeah, I've had this happen to me when having to disassemble a G.I.Joe or some such for whatever reason. Annoying as heck. I'm convinced we need Stephen Hawking to do a treatise on miniature black holes or short-lived dimensional vortices.

Yeah, I have gone through this. But usually my cases are more like Doc Rob's. I set something down or put it away, then it takes me an hour to find it cuz it has mysteriously become invisible or moved to another locale. This even happens with my TV remotes. I swear I looked all over my couch, I turned and looked elsewhere then turned back and there it was, sitting right on top.

I know have to worry about this phenomena with all of my belongings. My GF likes to come over and clean AKA rearrange all my ____. So now it take me 5 minutes to find my cereal, or a pile of mail, or the parts to my vacuum that I can take out and wash. I usually leave them on the counter. She likes to hide everything away. I love the girl God bless her, but when I cant find something I usually leave in an accessible place - :verymad: :verymad: :verymad:

I got that far and I started wondering how you lose your kids arm, then I finished the sentence. I must have had a longer week than I thought.

It was a big deal, a customizer can fix it, :)

Laugh if you want to, but when ever this happens to me I leave a glass of wine and a dish of honey out for the fairie folk, and the next day any lost items mysteriously reappear.

Jill had lost her tarot cards and scoured the entire house for them. We left the wine and honey out and the next day the cards were right next to the glass and dish, both empty. ;)

It doesn'tet any better if you get married and everything then becomes open for "organzing". The most dreaded phrase for me to hear is "I cleaned up the computer desk." That means about a month of me tracking down all of the important stuff I put there.

I lose stuff everytime I customize. I have dropped a Snake Eyes head on a light tan carpet and not been able to find it for two days. This is even after getting on all fours with a flashlight and asking my wife with 20/10 vision to help me.

I've lost a set of arms in the freakin' arms drawer. To the point where I dumped them all out and sorted by color and still couldn't find them. Then when I give up in frustration and go to find a set of different arms, I find them sitting right on top.

After those things happen, I don't even bother trying to look for stuff when I drop super tiny or practically invisible (clear packaging glasses) items. I figure they'll show up when they show up if they show up at all.

try finding the 25th hip pads once dropped onto light beige carpet. I think they are made to instantly burrow as deep as possible, after bouncing rolling many feet in a zig-zag pattern so as to be found nowhere within the most plausible "drop-zone"

I know I told the story before, but the Flash story above reminded me of it - when I was a kid, I lost Snow Job for MONTHS after a day of staging battles with a friend of mine. Part of the battle was to hide a certain number of troops for surprise attacks, before the battle began.

Months after the fact (having forgot just how good of a job Snow Job had done at hiding), I found him still dangling/clutching for life to the yarn at the bottom of a plant holder which had been hanging high up above the living room "battle-field". He was rewarded greatly for manning his post for so long.

I slice the star off a russian trooper hat for a custom and it slipped off my fingers into the carpet. About an hour later my wife knelt down, held it up to me and asked if it was what I was looking for.

I had a Ravage TF dissapear on me, when I was a kid. Later, as I was beginning to outgrow toys, I decided that Boba Fett was the one action figure I was going to keep, because he was so cool. About that time, he vanished from the material sphere.

drbindy, I know what you mean about those polycap things, out of the hips. I never did find the one I dropped, out of the Falcon I was repainting. Luckily, those things don't actually do anything, in most of the early 25th molds. The first Duke I ever modified, didn't even have them. Now, I have a spare.

Worst one, was when I lost the scratch built dagger, that goes to my one custom. I set it aside, so nothing would happen to it, while I was checking something with the figure. When I was done, it was gone. The dagger (and matching sword) have a design that's fairly complex. It took me two or three days, to make the new one. A few days after that, I heard something hit the floor, next to my chair. I looked down, and saw the dagger. The gaurd was cracked, and the paint looked a little chewed, but it was otherwise intact. No idea where it spent that week.

Don't even get me started on the springs and motor brushes out of my HO scale slot cars....

I have thi sproblem alot when I am dremmeling, as the dremmel will launch the part out of my hand and across teh room, I give up on that figure until I find the part again, from there I also give up vacumming my room until it is found. Although sometimes parts that I drop and dissapear some how end up in my shoe, or pocket.

To cut a long story short, I haven't vaccumed my room in over 2 months. But it should get done this week, as I am doing a top ot bottom clean and making all the floor is accessory free before I do a 3x over vaccum.
