This would be a big pass for me if it weren't for that gold headed Viper. Thanks to that one figure I've got to get a few.

I have tons of 25th 86 style Vipers already. They could have at least given us a different color scheme.

But reused head or not, that Mercer is GREAT!

Just out of curiosity, since I haven't followed the particulars of this line terribly closely, what's wrong with the Viper's wrists? They do seem a little oddly-positioned, but that's about all I can see in the pics.

A BAT 5-pack would actually be if interest to me if they gave is some diverse color schemes. An Arctic BAT would be cool. So would a Desert BAT.

A Viper 5-pack was a bad idea. These figures were not great to begin with and many people already go their fill of army-building since they were so easy to find. Gold visor is nice, Mercer head is nice, but not nice enough to buy it. Big pass for me.

They are very oddly positioned. If you look close at the pictures, they are posed so they only look good when holding the Viper rifle and even then they aren't perfect. Look at the figures with no weapons in hand and their arms to their sides and bent at the elbows. The hands are nearly perfectly molded for that "hands on hips" stance which doesn't look cool except in that stance (if even then).

It's basically the same issue as with Roadblock's throat-throttling left hand, Shipwreck's fist and Major Bludd's stiff right arm. Nice idea, but not needed in execution at all.

Looks like a spare head or Viper helmet by Mercer's feet in the MIB pic to me.

Mercer's head looks to be a pop-n-swap with the helmet like they did with Cobra Trooper Flint and his Trooper head.

Fixed wrists and I could have seen me getting at least two or three of the packs because I wouldn't mind having a squad or two of fixed Vipers. Ouch but a five pack of the figure I just keep skipping as a single pack figure no way.

Get some Eels, some BATs, Para-Vipers, Paratrooper, or any of the hard to find single packs in a five pack and then I'll be interested. Between this, the Crimson Guard pack, and the Green Shirts pack I'm just not sure if Toys-R-Us will keep up the five packs if they aren't going to get some good sellers.

I really haven't had any problems with the oddly shaped wrists on my Vipers.

On the other hand my Tele-Viper with the same kind of wrists does have trouble holding things.

Yeah, if they'd fixed even just one of the wrists on each figure and chrimed those faceplates, this would've been like printing money.

Now?

I doubt I'll pick up full sets. Might look for the gold faces on the secondary market, though. I could use a couple of those (or I could just customize them, I s'pose).

I tried last night to fix the wrists by manipulating them in hot water. No love at all.

If I have to cut into every on ein order to be able to get it to hold something other than a rifle, my interest is severely limited.

hawk's head, well, then pass for sure.

I think a paraviper/eel boxed set would make sense, toss in a snow serpent and do an evolutions figure if you have to.

And a bat five pack? no brainer if they wanna make money.

if they'd fix the knife the eels come with so that they actually fit in the sheath, i'd be down with more of them. and of course BATs. paraviper repaint would be interesting also.

I found an answer to the gun holding of the 25th Viper - the Marauder NVR
