Nom Phail. to be a true nomination, you must supply a reason why you feel this way.

I'm nominating the WHALE.
When I was a kid I'd play with it for hours. It struck me as the quintessential Joe vehicle. It could go any where, carry troops, and fight. Plus it was a hovercraft, so it had that futuristic kinda vibe. The moving props, turrets, bike, sled and mines just add to the fun. And it wasn't too big or too small.

The HAVOC

Could hold somewhere around 10 figures and had the hovercraft as a bonus vehicle. It's a GI Joe original and not based off of anything else that I know of but still looked kinda feasible. Big cannons, small guns, and missiles to boot, the HAVOC was ready for any battle situation and the dual tracks made it at home on any terrain and able to maneuver around any battlefield. And with the cartoon exposure its a staple of any Joe attack on Cobra.

Not to mention the awesome driver.

SkyStriker.

loads of fun to play with, great accessory in the chute, and an all around great toy to play with.

Also lets you reenact TopGun fight scenes.

If this is the nomination thread, I'll throw something else in there.

HISS 2- Cool looking driver, nice vehicle and space for plenty of extra figures, although it still looks fully manned with only three figs. It's a great vehicle, I think, and it seems to fly under the radar.

If you can't see why it's awesome, you sir, fail.

Umm, jail cell for Cobras, big old computers (old school), motor pool, a place for EVERYTHING in the 1982 line. It's like the whole thing was plotted and planned to be put into this one base. Ties the whole 1982-83 collection together.

no, I can see why it's awesome, and it's in my top 5, possibly even #2.

you just didn't explain why you thought it was awesome.

as you have now done.

//good point about the 'tying up' of the original line -- i never thought of it that way before -- new dio idea there...

The best? The best is the Mobile Command Center.

Features? Prison, elevator, escape shaft, helicoptor pad, medical bay, control room, vehicle bay, weapons storage racks, crane, several flights of stairs!!!

Plus it's its own vehicle with a driver that was repurposed into one of the more sought after Dreadnoks from the Convention set.

I lost the drivers compartment and wheels, and a bunch of other stuff from it, but it still rocks as my G.I. Joe PIT.

Is this thread useless without pics? It is!!!
