After tax 67.46

Definately can't afford that then.
Hopefully there will be enough leftovers on clearance.

I want that destro and incredible amount. I have no interest in anything else, though. How much was the set?

8-O 67 bucks?!!!! I was planning on 50! I hope this doesn't inspire a new round of "Creative Exchanges", or just plain 'ol fashioned figure swapping.

Leave it as is and just call it the movie version. ;)

No sign of this set at the local store. Just a couple of comic packs, some planes, two DVD sets, three Wild Bills, and two Torpedos... :(

Well, I somehow got a coupon in the mail for $10 off a purchase of $100 or more, so mine and JM70's will be a bit cheaper anyway. I just hope it's not too tough to snag, since I have enough right now trying to get the Wal-Mart exclusive DCUC.

Stalker - really like the darker colors on him.

Old school Action Force fans (like myself) are going to go nuts for him, as his camo works perfectly for Jammer of Z-Force :P

somehow I don't think this will be moving that fast so I wouldn't worry much. It's an exclusive, and the price point is quite high. Other than collectors after Short-Fuze or Steeler to complete their original 13, you'd get the odd parent buying this for some kid's xmas present thinking they hit the motherload with a box set of 3 vehicles + 7 figures or whatever the count is. Star Wars has large box sets like this and I hardly if ever see them move.

I think Hasbro was starting to go on the right track with the extreme conditions box sets, it had more figures than the DVD packs, themed, and at a price point a little easier to swallow.

I don't know, both the Star Wars Ultimate Battle Packs were huge sellers last year, even at the $60+ after taxes price point. They were far better sets than this mess is but still I think people ARE going to buy this.

Damn, those figures look a lot cooler than I remembered... And really, the price point isn't all that bad for what you end up getting.

HISS (retail = $15)
MOBAT (retail probably = $15)
Flight Pod (retail around $7.50 (half of a $15 set)

7 figures @ $7.00 a piece = $49.00

So right off the bat, that's pretty much $85.00 worth of product for an MSRP of $60. Yeah, there's a lot of repaints, but if you can find folks who want to split the set or break it down, it can end up being almost affordable.

Justin

Okay, that price tag is a bit of a killer, but I'll admit you get a lot for it and trying to buy all these items individually WOULD cost more. I like the blue Trubble Bubble and the red HISS. The MOBAT looks to be a slightly more "intense" green than its predecessors, but that could just be my monitor. I'm not collecting the figures, so I doubt I'll get this set, but the vehicles impress. Hasbro should be commended for coming up with such an extensive multi-vehicle set, and Target should be commended for being willing to carry it. Might get a look at one today since I may be visiting a Target.

carton 614 of 7000

Most likely, that means there were 7000 cases of this item produced and ordered by Target. Now, that number seems very low...especially in light of what's included. So, that may be just the intitial shipment with another 7000 or so cases to ship later in the month. But, it does give an idea as the production numbers of this item. If there are only 7000 of them, these won't last long at all and it will become a set that will likely attract some aftermarket attention.

well, my target is already sold out of them. Not sure how many they got, surely I didn't get the only 2, but I can't iomagine there are that many joe collectors in my town that would read online to call and have them brought out form the back room.
