These are easily the coolest multi-packs we've had all year. I had eagerly been waiting for these and they finally arrived from BBTS yesterday. From the pics, I thought that the arctic one was better, but with them in hand, I find that the desert one is cooler. It has more figs I want to keep as they are.

I've already taken apart Scrap-Iron, Artic Heavy weapons viper and the tele-viper for customs I'm working on. I head-swapped some of the desert figs into more logical (for me) configurations.

I did the same thing: http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-joe-real-american-hero-modern-toys/21282-some-headswaps-cobra-desert-figures.html

Ha! I didn't know that. That's a nice nod then.

Makes the weapon selection even more impressive to me, sort of like they included an "old school" and "new school" load out for them.

These are awesome. They've already inspired some new photography, which I'll have up in a day or two. I love the character they gave Scrap-Iron's face. I'll probably do the same headswap when I open my desert guys!

I just got around to opening my sets. Is the Desert Viper supposed to have the goggles on his helmet? Mine didn't have any. And how many missiles does Bludd have? I have 2 in his pack and one was in the bubble, meaning either his pistol or BP has an empty slot.

Viper does not have his googles - that is why we see the cobra logo on the helmet

Bludd should have 4 missiles - 3 for the pack and 1 for the pistol

These are sweet sets indeed.

4 total missiles for Major Bludd :majorbludd:
You might have dropped one. They don't stay on very well.

Yeah my Bludds had 3 in the pack held in with a rubber band and the 4th in the bubble. Check your packaging as it may have come loose.

I looked around and didn't find the 4th. I think it got skipped in the packing process. I didn't un-band the BP missiles and they are securely attached. Its the middle one thats missing. Oh well, not a huge deal. But if anyone has an extra, please PM me.

I definitely prefer the glued on goggles for the Viper. My regular one can't keep his on!

the dvd pack bludd would be good enough to donate his missiles, I think, if you ever pick that up.
