I agree. I got all excited when I saw the cover art.

Well, at least there's another way to get the Iron Grenadier.

And , correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't the Vipers disguised as Iron Grenadiers in this issue, in retailiation for the IG's dressing up as Vipers in issue 82 or so? So, in essence it's one figure in the two outfits they wore in this issue.

This will give me a Deep Six I can try to give articulation to and a head I can use on my dry Deep Six custom.

Rock 'n' Roll looks good except for the bad camo on the pants. He'll get repainted I think.

CC / Gung-ho ... meh

Viper / IG ... meh

very lackluster wave.

R&R/Deep Six
- R&R has corrected arms, which is fine but he's packaged with another inarticulate version of Deep Six. If most everyone didn't buy the recent Deep Six/SHARC vehicle set, then they definitely own a SHARC in some fashion already in their collection. Add the fact that an articulated version of Deep Six has just been released in the Senior Ranking Officers wave 2 set and really, how could this offering be a win?

Battle Armor CC/Gung-Ho
- When I got my single carded Battle Armor CC, the first thing I did was switch out beachhead's noggin for the comic pack Fred, so there's no appeal in this one. I'm in the minority that actually perfers Gung-Ho in his sky blue fatigues, only good point about this one is that he's got a fixed crotch - but not worth the $12-$14 for it.

IG/Viper
On paper this sounds like a wet dream for collectors, two popular army builders in one pack! 'Cept the Viper's hands still aren't fixed and us Canadians are gathering around him in the winter time because he's boiling hot as a peg warmer here. IG in a comic pack, IG in cobra's senior ranking officers, now IG again in another comic pack? All in the span of a month? Whoever is the procurement manager at Hasbro needs to be sent back to complete their Project Management training.

I had a chance to grab the IG/Destro pack but passed. Kinda glad I did. I can actually use the IG/Viper packs.. 2 or 3 will do me well.. I do like the colors on the new Gung Ho and I might like the BACC.. I want to get the SHARC so no need for craptastic Deep Six comic pack..

While this wave is pretty unimpressive with the rehashed rehashes it does have some potential for army builders.

Man, it's nice to get the army builder set, but there were so many better choices: Lightfoot, Muskrat, Shockwave, Joe Colton....

I'll cave and get the IG finally. Alcohol on RNR's leg stripes for the win!

Outback 100% Argento, you're gonna be getting some more figures once I find this wave...;)

The troop builder pack is cool but man, such a strange choice in comic. It screams for Joe Colton.

Word.
My original issue has a messed up cover, I'd buy it for the reprint, 'cause it'll probably be the only comic I want from the series.
I'll part with the figures pretty cheaply lads. Unless one-a yooze'll part with the issue!

Why no Colton, or Jane for that matter, the mind just boggles...

Pure garbage, a huge load of BS. Hasbro, you guys have totally quit trying with these comic packs now, there's literally NOTHING new here.

Except the comics. This wave, it's my turn to try and obtain just the books.

Well I do want Fred & Rock N Roll.
They could have easily just used a Cutter body to make that Deep 6.

And yet people would [LASER BLAST] about not being able to find the IG otherwise...although of course I'd prefer single packed. They should make a 5 pack of army builders that aren't CG's or Vipers/Troopers...

I think it's safe to assume that these are probably some sort of "bonus wave" of Comic Packs, kind of like we get the bonus waves of Single Packs every once in a while that are straight up repaints. I mean, the wave before this one has Scrap Iron, Mainframe, Hard Master, etc... and the wave after has Shockwave and Tunnel Rat, so I don't think this is indicative of where Hasbro's going in general with the comic packs, this is probably just a little added bonus wave.
