Really kind of let down at this point. Snake Eyes looks fine, but what the hell is up with Roadblock, I thought it was Carl from Aquateen before, with a better look I think it might be Ron Jermey, either way he is easily terrrible in design and exictution (and that is saying much for one of my top five fav characters).

Snakes looks fine as I said. Then again from a design standpoint he is hard to screw up. What really gets me is why does Duke's face and head look normal while RB looks so terrible, its like two different people are working on the same stretch of film.

Also don't understand Habro's obsession with animie.

Sequence was ok but clishe, be interesting to see what the plots to the episodes will be like before making a final desision.

Still, I am more pensive than ever.

I'll go ahead and get this over with:

Resolute sucks. It's all different and stuff.

FAIL.

It's hard to form an opinion due to the quality of the footage, however, after watching the YouTube clip four times, the series looks like it has some potential.

The action is swift and electric, and the sound effects - especially Cobra's weapons - are great.

Since I'm not sure if my criticisms are valid due to the quality of the video, I'll hold off until an immaculate verison is available on Hasbro's website, which I hope will be soon since the bootleg footage could do more harm than good.

Best,

Hey waitaminnit there’s nothing wrong with the original intro except what, an obscure and disrespectful sector of fandom who thinks it’s corny enough to burn at the bottom of a garbage can?

This toon looks to be typical high-quality anime where every detail from the muzzle recoil down to their gunpowder roasted voices is chiseled and sharpened to a razor’s edge. Stalker’s dreads hint to me that this puts the series on more of the style side of realism instead of a straightforward military adventure though. I’d prefer more guts&glory than spinning flourishes with random “hells” or “damns.”

All in all, if they keep down the ninjaness and spend some time with the Joe roster I’ll look forward to seeing some great characterizations out of the anime format.

I can’t wait for the official release of this trailer and see how badly R&B’s face is stylized or if it’s just the washed out video.

That looks good! I like that it had a PG-13 feel to it.

Footage actually reminded me more of what Marvel has done with their Ultimate Avengers dvd's then the typical anime stuff or overly stylized stuff.

I think it has potential from a few standpoints, but the nice thing is that the director of these is the same guy who directed the last season of Justice League Unlimited. And although I'm really tired of the Timm blocky style the direction that last season as far as animation and voice acting was just amazing.

I have a lot more faith in this then I've had since Sunbow stopped making the cartoons in the mid-80's. The interpretations since have been severly lacking primarily due to bad design, bad animation, bad acting, bad music and overall horrific production. This thing has some talented people attached to it and I think they "get it" so that at least gives me a wait and see attitude.
