Tripwire=Awesome
I will probably pass on this one since I don't need another CC and Tripwire will be released later on a single card with the desert element.

I know I should be happy for fans of Cobra La that Nem Enf is coming... but man, do I ever think Hasbro is losing the focus of this line.

GIJoe has been many, many things in the past 25 years... but he's not always been perfect. Sometimes, no matter that *someone* likes it, you have to admit certain things were mistakes, and distance them from the property you're trying to rebuild. Not just with Cobra La. Storm Shadow being a "good guy" is something that many people feel was a mistake. Instead of releasing his 88 Joe version, Hasbro should've been concentrating on rebuilding his Cobra image, since they're long since passed the point of trying to honor that continuity faux pas.

EDIT: Sorry, went on a tangent.

Aside from my personal problems with La Boy, the wave itself looks to be pretty weak. Falcon isn't much to write home about with Flint and Duke (one's his clone, one's his brother) already sharing that mold. The neckerchief looks like it'll sit about as well as Bludd's dogtags. IG Destro is in comic colors, I guess, the Grenadier being mostly a Battle Armor CC rep aint isn't winning me over. Tripwire is one of those Joes I could've gone years without seeing, especially if his inclusion is the reason Major Bludd didn't get the Hiss/Flash torso.

Oddly, tho, Cobra Commander makes me squeal! So very close to the comic version, with just a need to switch the sword out for a knife, switch his lower arms with those of CC V1, and maybe giving him IG Destro's boots instead of the CGs.

So down to brass tacks, bring on Wave 6... Hard Master and Scrap Iron, FTW!!

Nem Enforcer is AWESOME!!!! I rewrote Nem's history anyway so grabbing him is a no brainer for me

Falcon leaves alot to be desired.

IG Eh I want a better look at him out of the package but not doing much for me. If I buy this pack he is the readon, but not until I see "Leaked" photos painted up.

Destro I can give or take, I like the single card better though.

CC is kind of the same way I feel about the first CC, bland, kind of interesting. but nothing major.

Tripwire is in the take or leave pile, I probably won't grab this one.

I love every figure in this wave.

In fact I'll be army-building all 3 packs.

Actually, you could probably keep the sword, and give him a knife. If memory serves, the new webgear gives him a holster for his pistol, so the siegie leg loop is empty.

I like the Cobra La characters, and the bio-engineering concept. I just wish they'd change the back story to a Cobra lab, and loose the whole Cobra La ancient civilization thing. Just let Golobulus be a mad scientist type.

Straight Edge can complain all he wants, I love Nemy Enforcer. it's a really good figure, considering the reuse of Serpy parts. If anyone needed an update, its him. The orginal is wimpy looking, couldn't go up against Big Lob, much less the Sarge. If were going to get stuck with countless Cobra Commander, Duke, Snake Eyes repaints, this one little comic pack isn't that big a deal in the line, I believe. What kid wouldn't want to play with a big bat winged freak? Very cool!

Falcon is a dud. Too bad about the Flint/Duke parts. That body mold really needs to be put to bed. I agree with that. Falcon is too important of a character to be relegated to rehashes, while a bit player like Barbeque gets a star treatment.

Cobra Commander is bland. I wish, instead of just rehashes, Hasbro would make a radical take on the character. Maybe Old Snake, for example? Just an idea, Hasbro!

Don't care about the IG pack. Battle Armor CC reuse ruined it for me.

It's not Cobra La that I hated, it's the way they used the characters. There's many other ways they can be brought into G.I.Joe and they'd work. I liked the whole thing with Nemesis Enforcer being the reason for the legend of Dracula and many other legends. Various things worked. I'm not sure why he's being called Nemesis Immortal though...

From the card art, are the Iron Grenadiers using a different body now? It looks like a smooth body rather than using armor CC. That could be good and make this figure a lot better.

Falcon, eh, never really cared for the character. Probably due to the cartoon making him look so stupid.

Cobra Commander, I guess if we had to get another one this is ok.

Tripwire looks good from what you can tell in the picture, but you can't make out any details. It look like they decided not to use the padded chest though.

Destro I guess I'll find something to do with him. If I get more packs for a few extra IGs, I'll have to think of a custom idea for him.

And many people don't. One of the greatest storylines ever, IMHO.

On the topic at hand... Hisstank has removed the images, not because Hasbro asked them to, but because they think Hasbro will show these off at the Con. oooh... kay....

Anyway, I missed 'em. :-(

Dang it, I really wanted to see Nemesis Enforcer. Ah, well, soon enough.

PS Place me solidly in the category of those who were pleased to see Storm Shadow become one of the good guys. Maybe his back and forth of the past few years has been a little off-base at times, but the initial storyline was superb!

You didn't miss much Tim. The pics were small and hard to make out details. Though those gods-awful Duke arms were glaringly obvious on Falcon. Duke arms is one :deadhorse: that we need to keep beating until its good and dead.

Huh?

Did it say that on the package?

Yep. I didn't notice it until I saw someone else's post mention it.
