what will we see at the convention?

what should we expect to see at the convention?

I think:

the rest of the convention figures obviously (the joes haven't been shown yet)

maybe the next wave of single pack figures (the ones on the list on hasbros site for the top 10)

the top 10 exclusive

another dvd pack or two or three

maybe more comic packs?

any movie figures previewed?

It's much too soon for movie figs to be shown. I don't think they've even finished casting it yet, much less started filming. It stereotypically takes a solid year for a fig to go from concept sketch to shelf product, so we're prolly still in the concept sketch or preliminary sculpting stage. We could see them concept sketches tho, I'd think.

And seriously, WTF's with not showing the Con Joe figs yet, with less than a week to go? I'm thinking MC's just given up on this set being a big seller and just aren't putting out the effort to host the pics.

What's 'the top 10 exclusive'?

ummmmm whats viewforum.php?f=36 that thread about? It shows them filming and the cast pics in it. So yea they are FILMING it already.

See, this is why I hate too much forum parsing. All Joe stuff should be in one forum, imho.

To take an uneducated guess.

Hasbro should have some really nice figures and vehicles they have been holding back for Joe Con. Depending on how much they want to keep underwraps there is a good chance of some concept art for the movie related toys. Likely more information on the movie figures.

With a new comic book out in October it would be a bit odd if IDW doesn't send some people to the con for an advanced look at what they plan to bring to GI Joe and to get a bit of face time to win some of the old comic book fans over to giving IDW's new comic book a chance.

With the movie filming right now not much of a chance to show up to convince the fan base they are going to enjoy this new Joe and Cobra. Maybe some shots from Hasbro to help start some buzz for the movie.

Seems like they always love to bring out something wow they don't announce until you get there so there should be some cool stuff on display even though we don't know yet what that cool stuff might be. Can't make it myself but looking forward to all the pictures.

I bet you won't see Movie Joes - but, I bet they are way past the sketching phase.

I think you will see the next wave of new product and some comic previews.

I think you will see a ton of movie stuff / images.

I hope the rest of the DVD packs are revealed - obviously the next wave of vehicles: Sharc, Conquest, Firebat, will be all over the place.

Won't see me, though. Bummer. Enjoy the lines, bros!

It's well within the time fram they could show some prototype movie stuff, but I don't think they will. If they even do any time thing year it will be at SDCC. I could be wrong and they might surprise us, but I'd figure they'll go for a bigger crowd. They might have 1 or 2 for a "sneek peek" or something. Wasn't there suppose to be some stuff on the movie that was announced that will be there?
