So far the Starscream and Shockwave crossovers have been pretty neat. I have been thinking about where they can go next if they do in fact make another one. I would think they might do an Autobot this time and its obvious they need a vehicle that has already been designed. I have thought about this for a while and my ideal crossover would be them using that Coyote they never produced for sale and making that an Autobot. That vehicle would work as perhaps a Ratchet or even a Rodimus Prime. They could even force it into an Optimus, although it wouldn't be ideal.

Does anybody else have any ideas of what could come next? Which vehicle and which TF character it could be made into?

It hurts to look at that picture, seeing the awesomeness we didn't get. It'd be good for Rodimus and I could see a lot of collectors buying two, one for the TF crossover vehicle, another just to have a Coyote that would be customized.

I think the ROCC would be cool for Optimus Prime, maybe one of the Humvees as Hound (maybe Flint's jeep). The PoC/30th VAMP/Ninja Cruiser could be good for Ironhide. Since those are slightly smaller than a HISS and SkyStriker, maybe a two pack with the VAMP and an AWE Striker, I think there's an Autobot that looks like that.

The first clue will be discovering what mass release vehicle Hasbro will be pushing at that time (Starscream came out when the Skystriker was being released, Shockwave when the Retaliation Hiss was hitting the shelves). Megatron is my bet for character, though.

Yeah, the SDCC TF crossover vehicles are usually made from actually-released vehicles. Who knows how far into production the Coyote even made it... :(

I could see the Ninja Combat Cruiser (POC Vamp retool) done up as Swindle...
There really hasn't been much larger vehicles revealed for Retaliation... And we still don't know any post-movie plans...

I can see that Coyote as Optimus, especially with the smokestacks to the sides. I wonder if this might have even been planned? The truck design doesn't match, of course, but it's not like it transforms.

I'd take the Coyote in any form. I'm pretty sure it got tooled up. That sample looked factory and had a working play feature. Considering there aren't a whole heck of a lot of other vehicles to choose from right now I wouldn't be shocked if they tried to recoup some cost by using the mold for something else. Maybe drop the play feature too.

I could see them maybe dropping it into the movie line if the movie is a hit and toys sell. As they bring in more stuff beyond what we have seen, it would fit in as a military truck of some sort. Who knows though with Hasbro.

Is there a role play gun that is being released with the movie? :shifty:

That gun they have wouldn't look much like any Shockwave I'd know, haha. It could be painted up as, but it would still look odd.

That other thread brought up a good point about the Mauler. Didn't Hasbro just release a tank version of Megatron? Are they planting a seed? Of course Brawl as that Mauler would be pretty awesome too. But I still want the Coyote. I could build a Mauler Brawl/Megatron if I wanted. I can't build that Coyote

Maybe we need to just make a list of all the vehicles we'd customize using the Coyote, so Hasbro can see how lost sales they'd have?

Yeah if the Mauler is what is the "secret" classic vehicle that is going to be released this year, then it would be right in the timeline for a G2 Megatron, or I guess a G1 Megatron colour scheme, which I think would be pretty awesome.
