So while browsing eBay on a boring afternoon recently, I came across these G.I. Joe-style figures planned for a revival of the Jurassic Park toy line that obviously never happened. Between multiple auctions, there appeared to be one white one, and one black one, otherwise identical (right down to the tattoos) except for skin color. I secured one of each, from two different auctions.

I've got two white Jurassic Park figures here. So I'm wondering if anyone knows -- are there supposed to be two of these guys, one white and one black, or was I fooled by lousy photography?

Pics? A link to the auction?

I think he means the tattooed guy with Resolute Duke's head on Resolute Roadblock's body.

Try as I might I don't see any black ones. Some of the photos show a slightly different skin tone because of the lighting in the photograph but otherwise they're all the same figure.

No, but some are half-black and play Roadblock in major motion pictures.

Yeah, that's the guy I mean -- and thanks, Jay, for identifying the head used. Couldn't quite figure that one out.

And, okay, I'm just going to assume at this point that there's ONE of these figures, not two, and that I was the victim of bad photography and/or poor lighting.

And yeah, the tattoos are interesting. The one on the shoulder reminds me a fair bit of the one we see on Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, while I'm a bit more inclined to call the one on the figure's face "Chakotay Extreme"...

I've included a pic of the figure I received, not for comparison, but just so everyone knows the figure I mean. Didn't include his accessories, which include a rifle, ammo belt, large pick-axe, and what looks like a small bomb. I like the "JP" and "InGen" logos on the vest, too.

Don't you still have the auction in the "Won" section of your My Ebay?

They are still out there. I finally got one for $8.99 and free shipping.

I got one. Beware, I was playing with mine and his knee joint broke.

I heard something crack on mine but it's still in one piece, thankfully.

Might be why I got him for 8.99 and free shipping. But I mostly just want him for his looks and just sit-up and leave him there.

I'm not a huge fan of those legs anyway so I might just swap them for better ones. Still undecided.

Yeah, of the two I received, one of them seems to have a somewhat loose knee. I haven't checked to see if it's actually cracked, though. The other one seems fine. He was actually the first one I got, in a box all the way from China (I think) that was so small it's a good thing action figures aren't prone to claustrophobia.

I haven't had any problems with my figure, so I'm guessing it's the usual situation where some figures are good and some have defects.
