Not suggesting or wondering how these would look or even if Hasbro would do it. Just assuming Hasbro were to make a collector series like Mattel's MOTUC, heavy detail and articulation, same scale, and subscription based. They'd be $20 - $22 each with 1 or 2 a month... Would you be onboard? I'm talking through Hasbro too.

Just wondering and thought it would be a neat discussion.

I would love to have highly detailed/articulated RAH mold figures. I'm slowly getting closer and closer to cutting my new style figures completely from my collection, but I would be all over old school styling with new school tooling.

No. I have no interest in starting a new collection of the same characters in a different scale. As far as I'm concerned, the 25th/ME lines are what that would be only without the headache of dealing with the bs that MOTUC collectors do.

I'm good with what has been offered presently, but just as with some of the 12" stuff I might pick up a few I like.

I think when J_Man said same scale, he meant the same scale as MOTUC. If it isn't a different scale, this angle is already covered with the Club FSS, assuming it ever gets started.

As for the actual idea, while I support the the idea of a 3-3/4" FSS, I would not be interested in a larger scale Joe line, no matter how well designed. I might have been interested back when I collected Marvel Legends and the SOTA Street Fighter lines, but now I wouldn't want to invest the time and money into a line that is compatible with nothing in my current collection.

Yeah actually I did mean MOTUC scale.... But this is all hypothetical so anyone that wants to consider 4" is fine too... :shifty:

If hasbro produced a line with the quality of Snake eyes V54 or whatever that one was.... we are talking super articulated, with joints that work, good proportions, accessories unique to the character etc. you know pretty similar to how Joes where handled back in the day.

really Hasbro could handle this using just a handful of parts that they already have.... The Snake Eyes V54 full figure, the Renegades Duke figure, the Dusty figure Mutt torso and upper arms... really maybe 5 or 6 figures that already exist and parts form a handful of others.... new heads for each character. new gear as needed. higher actual artist to make new card art none of the cheapo digital stuff they have been doing... and put them on single cards like the 80s. Sell them for 15-20$ a pop depending on how many new parts they have or extra gear they have or whatever. I'd be on board for the entire run.

what's sad is that the club should be able to accomplish this but they give us stuff like dialtone, that is almost great, but has one of the worst torsos ever and those arms don't bend right...

and No I wouldn't buy anything in the Motuc scale, or the marvel legends or any other. I like 3 3/4 joes and that is pretty much it.

I would definitely agree with this.. I don't collect any other scale than 1:18th.. I have a FEW 1:6 figures maybe 5 total....so no need for another scale. I'm all for GI Joe figs as long as they are 1:18th scaled....any other aka Sigma Six size or larger or smaller then I'd be OUT.

Hate to be the downer but Joe collectors are notoriously cheap. Just look at all the comments about waiting for something to go on clearance before considering buying it. And then when you talk about changing the scale from the 3 3/4"-4" scale then you enter Sigma 6 territory because if there is one thing that Joe fans hate more than paying full price is changing the scale of their figures. So while this would be a great idea I don't think it would work. The Club is keeping their sub figures at the 4" scale and they are going to have a hard time selling them at the price they need to set to make money. Factor in the change in scale and I don't think you could give these away.

I would not buy anything on a subscription. I'd buy 1 or 2 "Legends" type figures but that would be all.

right the prices the club needs to set to make money. I am not sold on that line. for the last what 10 years that master collector has been on the scene we've caught them a lot of lies. I really can't trust anything they've ever said to us. but if I can but a non painted figure from slayer studios that is as good if not better quality than a hasbro figure for 15 bucks then the MC line of a repaint needing to cost 25 or more just sounds like a load of crap.

also Joe collectors are cheap? we hear that a lot too. this board it is true, we are customizers, but there are a lot of joe fans more than willing to pay top dollar for stuff. One of the reasons so much MC product is up for re sale at crazy high prices online. Joe fans are picky though. we won't pay for stuff that we don't like. A lot of stuff put out is stuff we don't like.

a well thought out line aimed at collectors with a pre order system, would do well. even at 15- 20 a figure.

I'd do it for12" Adventure Team figures and sets, but for 4" figures, I'm really happy with the current line.
I don't care about "Legend" sized Joes.
