I was thinking about what a bummer it was that we'd probably never get PoC/30th updates to the other uses of the Cobra Trooper parts. The newest version of the Cobra Trooper, despite being a Frankensteined figure, really just blows the 25th version out of the water. I'd love to be able to get at least an updated Cobra Officer, but since I don't see any retail route for such a figure until late next year or beyond (assuming there even is a retail presence for Joe after Retaliation) why not do a multipack? An Officer, an Air Trooper, a Stinger Driver, a Bazooka Trooper (with the holster this time), and either a short sleeved Trooper/Flint in Disguise, or the Python versions of the Trooper and Officer. Or hell, make it a seven pack and include all three. Much as I hate buying improved versions of all these guys so soon after the last round, I'd definitely jump on a few of that pack. Thoughts?

I have a lot of the 25th version troopers and a few of the newer I guess you could say trooper. I would personally like a hazard viper/toxo zombie set

I think I have enough Troopers. It was a weird feeling to open my 30th Trooper because on one hand, we had plenty already in the 25th line. But on the other hand, it was an excellent update. I think it may be over-doing it though to make a whole multi-pack again. That would likely be more warranted on a future sculpt imo.

But if they do more, I would still like to see a Sonic Fighters Viper (why wasn't he just named "Sonic Viper"?)

Yeah if they did one, I'd rather see something new. The Sonic Fighter Viper would be neat. Then do a few others that may not be so good as a stand alone single pack.

I'd be all over this idea.

Make it a 3pack with an Officer and 2 Troopers, and a crapton of gear for them, for no more than $20; and I'm in. Have some web-only repaints like a Stinger Driver set for EE or a Python set for BBTS, etc. Have those be no more than $25 and I'd get some of those variants.

Yeah, I'm to the point that I have plenty of troopers, and don't need any more. Yeah, the 30th is an improvement over the 25th trooper, but honestly, it's not that big of a difference. Unless it's something new, count me out. That includes the Stinger driver, Bazooka trooper, and other variants. Already have them, and plenty of them.

I might, but they'd have to be properly updated figures, not "let's slap the old figure's gear on the new body".

The new POC/30th Cobra Trooper was a decent webgear and modern rifle away from being fantastic but the outdated suspenders and rifle just killed it for me.

That might be cool. I'd like to see a Viper pack with all the repaints with perhaps different specialties assigned to the different schemes.

Sonic Weapons Specialist: http://www.yojoe.com/action/90/viper3.shtml
Airborne Division: http://www.yojoe.com/action/97/viper5.shtml
Jungle Trooper: http://www.yojoe.com/action/02/viper6.shtml
Urban Infantry: http://www.yojoe.com/action/02/viper8.shtml
Desert Infantry: http://www.yojoe.com/action/03/viper9.shtml
Motor Pool: http://www.yojoe.com/action/03/viper10.shtml
With maybe a frankensteined figure with a new head based on this guy who could be an Officer: http://www.yojoe.com/action/04/viper12.shtml

No, I can't see myself buying anymore troopers after the glut they've already released.

I'd get it if it offered stuff not seen before or seriously improved. I'd be fine with a box full of seven Shock Trooper/Cobra Trooper bodies if they came with outstanding new web gear, helmets and guns. A tan one with Frag-Viper helmet and gear. An orange one with HEAT Viper helmet and gear. A green one with a new Night Viper helmet. Etc. The list could write itself.

I'd like to see a 7-pack of Troopers, but come with accessories we haven't seen before.

There are plenty of blueshirt specialties from 83/83 (ie-early days of Cobra) that could be done.

1-Cobra Mechanic: Flint Disguise body with Trooper head and toolbox (Techno-Viper).
2-Vehicle Gunner (Target UBP) with commo helmet and armored vest. If he is gonna be exposed to small arms fire, then give him some armor. Also I need a special troops dedicated for manning the ASP and other vehicles.
3-Cobra Flamethrower: Cobra Trooper with flamethrower accessory.
4-Cobra Communications: Cobra Trooper with commo backpack and headphones. This one covers all the commo stations in the Terrordromes or any HQ type scenario. Helmet not needed, but included.
5-Security Team: Cobra Trooper done in all black. These troops are the personal security/bodyguard.
6-Cobra Paratrooper: Cobra Trooper with parachute and other airborne assault gear.
7-Cobra Sea Troops: Cobra Trooper with life vest, inflatable raft kit, and rifle.

I'd also include accessories to turn #6 into an operator to man the Cobra Claw, pilot aircraft, and fill aircrew roles.
