They actually came out last week, but I didn't have time to report it before I left for my trip. There are two 3-packs and one 6-pack.

The 3-packs are: (Batman, Capt. Atom, and Black Lightening) (Superman, Power Suit Lex, Power Girl)

6-Pack is (Batman, Superman, Hawkman, Grodd, President Luthor, and I can't remember the rest)

Here are some pics of the 3-packs:
http://www.thefwoosh.com/2009/08/first-look-public-enemies-three-packs

The new(er) articulation is pretty cool. Kind of like a mix between XO:Wolverine and Star Wars (think SW elbows and knees with XO hips, etc). The only problem being that the knees only bend to about 80 degs., not a full 90, so the disc could be just a tad larger to allow for more range or motion. I only bought the Batman 3-pack, and from that pack, Batman and Capt. Atom use the same body, and Black Lightening uses the new First Flight GL body/articulation, and they all use the same hands.

I found these last thursday and picked up the Batman/Atom.Lighning pack. As soon as I attempted to bend Batman's arms at the elbow, they both snapped off with very little pressure applied. I returned it and decided against trying my luck with a second pack.

Just a word of caution when moving the joints. Maybe try to loosen them with hot water first.

The 6th is that red major something guy...looks like a captain atom villain. But i dunno who he is, really.

Also haven't seen the batman/capt lightning 3 pack yet. The 6 pack is tempting though.

But at one Target I checked they had the new 6" figures out but not at another, so I"m wondering if those are going to all Targets or not.

I saw these. They are slightly smaller than Joes. I like the new generic body sculpt they use, but the joints are sticky, and the range of motion is a little odd. Also, everyone's hands are attached at an angle. I'm not the biggest DC fan, so I was really only interested in Bats, Supes, and Lex Luthor (who uses old sculpts in both sets.) I thought they were a little pricy for multi-packs (I think the three pack was $18) though. I think that's going to be my main complaint from now on about almost any new toys, so just ignore me when I complain about the price. ;-)

My Capt. Atom had his fist at an angle, but I think it was a combination of the packaging and the hand not being plugged in all the way. I just pushed it to where it was supposed to be and it set correctly.

Looking at the Capt. Atom figure right now, the head would make a good Ras Al Ghul with minor sculpting or even just paint for facial hair. It would also work for Magneto now that I think about it.

Picked up the six pack at lunch today and I'm pretty darned happy with Supes and Bats. The heads are a little off, but I think that's fixable (and might help address the very slight height issue -- they're just a skooch short for my 1:18-verse). Luthor's a huge disappointment (wanted another suit with decent proportions and full range of motion, got a midget repaint) and Hawkman is just comically goofy looking. Grodd is interesting and may get some use. Major Force is what he is. Wish they'd put Captain Atom in that pack so I wouldn't need to pick that set up later.

I'd be very happy if they leveraged the new body to make more of the core characters, like Flash and Green Lantern, and I'd be ecstatic if they started making more bodies at this increased scale and articulation (like a female and a suit).

If this is a sign of things to come, my toy budget might start cutting into my food budget.

I wouldn't sweat too much about losing your lunch just yet. I have a feeling these will be showing up at Ross and TJ Maxx a couple months down the road at a fraction of the cost. Shoot the Mary Marvel 3-pack and Jay Garrick Flash never hit WM, Target, or TRU near me. But Ross has a ton.

That is what I'm waiting for. I like them but I don't like them enough to pay the full price.

There is a Flash out or coming out with the new Green Lantern body. I can't remember what the set was or who is/will be carrying it though.

I think that is an online exclusive.

My Walmart has tons of those Mary Marvel sets.
The price is definately the problem with these sets. At least Target has kept the singles at $4.99. However they really are inflating their exclusives. 3 packs used to be $9.99 there.
I'm sure they will eventually have some sort of sale on them for Xmas.
I just found a Star Sapphire at TJ Maxx for $2.

If I recall, they started at $9.99 at Target, then went up to $17-ish shortly after, and have been at that price for a while now. It got to the point that Target was the place to go for the $4.99 singles and TRU was the place to go for the $12.99 3-packs.

Doesn't that GL/Black Lightning body have the T-crotch, though? That's a big pass for me.

If your Batman has the new articulations, I'll take it :-D
