I know these polls always bring bashing. That is not what I want. The thread will immediately be locked if that happens.
All I want to see, especially now with the new movie figures, is the era you prefer.

If you choose to respond, please let us know why you chose that era and NOT why the others suck.

Have to stick with the old school. It's what I grew up with. Easy to take apart and fix, or swap parts. Standard assembly means almost all parts are compatible. A lot is nostalgic for me.

I refuse to vote.

Becuse I can't decide. RAH, 25th and ROC would all be worthy of my vote. I love each of them in a different way.

My actual favorite figures came from the new sculpt era but aren't the new sculpts. The RAH comic pack figures during that time are some of the best figures for me. RAH set it all up of course and still keep me interested, but those comic packs gave us figures I had given up hope on ever seeing get made. We got the Oktober Guard, Kwinn, and a hatless Lady Jaye just to name a few. Out of those TRU multi packs we got Night Force, Arctic, Desert, Ninjas, and Army Builders. The best part is that the newer plastic isn't as fragile as the original RAH figures. The rubbery arms mean less broken thumbs and less cracked elbows.

Don't get me wrong, I love the 25th line and the movie line has released a ton of cool figures, but it is going to be a while before they replace all of the nostalgia built up for characters I enjoy. Seeing the toy isles jam packed with GI Joe product and seeing all of the upcoming cool product Hasbro has in store has me excited like never before.

loved ARAH as a kid, but my passion as an adult collector/customizer (more customizer) has been the new stuff. I had a hard time picking between 25th and ROC, as I see the styles being very similar. 25th had some flaws though, and ROC seems to be evening out some of them (while also being flawed in its own way, lol). I kind of lump them together in my mind though, even though not all the parts are interchangeable, they are still of the same medium for me.

That said, I chose ROC because I see that being a better blend of benefits, and the ROC line still technically incorporates some 25th stylings. Ultimately whatever becomes the POC line is where I'll end up, I suspect.

(Oh, and if Resolute had found a niche of it's own, I would clearly have voted there. From a pure figure standpoint, those are my favs. The fact that the unreleased Res figs are making their way to the ROC line swung my vote that way).

I chose ROC. It is just so refreshing to get new designs, and takes on characters.

RAH, without a doubt. That's my youth there, and my present collecting / customizing fun.

I couldn't have said it better.

The thing to remember is that each one of these choices has pros and cons.

I'd actually consider ROC to be an extension or subline of 25th, so that made for a difficult answer. But I had to pick ROC.

25th style figures are AMAZING! They're super-articulated, hyper-detailed, and sturdy for rugged play. I love them with all my heart and soul. Finally the characters I love have a fitting representation!

The only reason I picked ROC over "25th" is character selection and presentation. 25th Flash is cool because he's a 25th figure, but he's still an exact copy of a 25 year old figure. ROC Flash is something completely new and interesting. Same for Breaker, Destro, Cobra Commander, and any number of other guys. Plus with the Pursuit Of Cobra line Hasbro is finally going where the 25th line dared not: New characters!

I love all the choices, but they're no comparison to the 25th/ROC line.

RAH, which for me includes a good portion of the TRU sets and some of the comic sets that came out from 2002-2006.

Yeah, ROC and 25th are win for me. I love the ARAH figs, but when it comes down to it...I think they are underdone compared to today's figures.

I agree with everything Pluv said, although voted for ARAH years.

The RAH style comic packs and TRU 6-packs got me back into Joes for good!

I almost put in the ability to vote for all, but then what would be the purpose of the poll :)

ARAH for me. Paint sticks them better, most of the parts swap easier. In their hayday they were the main float in the parade. Lots of innovation and a lot of different types of figures and vehicles. Also as a kid I usually had a solid year and a half to buy a figure, and never had any concern with not finding figures. I could circle wanted figures on the back of cards and distribute those card backs to family members, they never had any trouble finding the figures I wanted.

If the POC line was already out, and the modern distribution system didn't suck, then my decision would be a bit harder, but I think ARAH would still win out.

25th Anniversary.

It's like an ARAH greatest hits collection, with modern sculpting and articulation.

I've got great memories with my old school Joes from when I was a kid, and still consider the '86 B.A.T. one of all-time favorite toys, but the execution of the new stuff is just much nicer.
