Here's the run down:

-Big Brawler has a stupid name.

-Big Brawler's headsculpt looks vaguely like Christopher Lowell

-Christopher Lowell is homosexual.

-Homosexuals are apparently very, very funny

-Ergo, by the transitive property, Big Brawler is both a homosexual, and very, very funny.

......if anyone has a better explanation, I'd love to hear it.

Y'know, all these years I just thought it grew from general hatred of the Steel brigade, and Brawler's less-than-heroic male pattern baldness.

I still hate Sh*tfire more, but I love that Brawler has been immortalized as a homo-pathetic joke.

I think the majority of everyone that pokes fun at the character is more due to how the original figure looked and the codename. I don't think most people are actually making fun of the character based on Brian. Sure some have issues with Steel Brigade, but for me I can say it was mostly due to Big Brawler looking so much like Christopher Lowell. That alone made it worth every joke put out there, hehe. Then you take his filecard and there's not much more to say.
