I've always thought that Tigerforce Outback was a cool take on the sub team. His colors aren't way out there or too goofy and he has that awesome tiger shirt that screams badass, it's like it's jumping out at you and ready to tear you apart. I also picked Recondo, I had to go back and look at a lot of the TF guys and it reminded me why I've forgotten so many of them, their oddly colored or too bland. I like Recondo though the black shirt is cool and his camo isn't too bad and works better than some Joe camo.

I've voted for the two figure that I don't even own.

1.) Skystriker - pilot for the converted Rattler, the Tiger Rat. A great reuse for the Wild Weasel mold. The figure included parts from a Thunder figure head and helmet. Given a rank of Colonel and was one of many pilots who flew in a Conquest X-30 squadron. Also named after their first combat jet, the Skystriker. Wish they made a 25th edition.

2.) Outback - a re-issue in the European toyline, Looks great in orange and white despite having other versions of the '87 and Night Force editions. The loud colors and the aggressive tiger face on the shirt is gonna have Cobra running for cover.

After that, probably Chinese Falcon/Flint, Recondo, Wreckage and Tunnel Rat

Skystriker. That is just such a cool figure, especially with the TF color scheme. I got one from a flea market probably eight or ten years ago with the shell of the TF version of the Rattler for like five bucks. His crotch was broken, but still, awesome figure.

I also went with Mutt from the convention set. I love that mold and I think the colors look really cool on that figure, despite not owning it.

My all around favorite TF figure is Cross Hair, but I know this is only for RAH style.

I went with the two new additions, Skystriker and Big Brawler. as skystriker added a much needed pilot to the joes, and Big Brawler just looked cool!

I love the look of TF Bazooka. Still not good combat colors but I just think it looks cool. Recondo was pretty sweet too.

Bazooka is my favorite too. Not the best colors for combat, but I think they look really good. Main reason is he was one of my very first figures.

I just can't get past Outback's shirt with a cat on it and his white (!) hair.

Skystriker and Recondo.

Skystriker was new, new character, new pilot, original (not in the comic), it gave me ideas that it was ok to bash and paint and create new characters.

Recondo, also, allowed me to see current characters as beign able to multi-taks or re-purpose. Before this, I don;t think I would have thought it "allowed" for a jungle troop to climb in the cockpit of a chopper. Everyone had their roles, and cross-training was not allowed. Seeing recondo in the tigerfly made me relook everything I took for granted aobut the Joe team, I re-read all my filecards, and then allowed myself to deviate from them.

A very liberating pair of repaints for me.

I'm glad we had two options, because this was tough for me. Most of the team are winners. I ultimately went with Outback for one, and Wreckage for the other.

Outback, along with Psyche-Out, was the first indication I had that G.I.Joe was NOT the same in every country. This was well before I had a computer or before much of anyone knew about the Internet, or before magazines like Lee's, Tomart's, and ToyFare kept us informed.

I have a friend in England, and during one correspondence, he mentioned, "Yes, we have Tiger Force here -- " then he listed the names. Most were the same as American ones, except for Outback and Psyche-Out. I was stunned! I very quickly asked him if he would be so kind as to send them to me, and he did. He also sent me the rest of the British ones the following year.

I like Outback just because he's so different from the original. White hair, and the tiger illustration on the shirt.

As for Wreckage, well, I doubt that many people who picked up that set WEREN'T aware of who he was supposed to be, the closest thing possible to the famed "Sabre Tooth" who never made it out in 1988 (and had a name that was probably a little too close to a certain exceptionally vicious Marvel mutant).

I'm honestly glad he wasn't right on the same, because I had long since customized a Firefly into Sabre Tooth, and I think he's one of my better projects. But I'm glad to have Wreckage, as well.
