After a few years of trying to track one down cheap, I finally found a decent price on a hulk of a terrordrome, Thanks Deathwing! I'd also like to thank ZG for offering one to me as well, :) In the end, Steve was able to provide not one, but two, well, 1.5, lol

After a little cleaning up, its not bad, about 75 percent complete, I'd say. I have a pretty big lot of spare parts in storage I'm hoping will bring that closer to 90,then it'll be begging and sniping to finish it up.

I don't really need two, so I'm gonna give the second hulk to my pal Segnett so he can make a clone command station for his kid.

Speaking of which, I'm hoping to be able to do a custom paint job on mine, so I'll be asking for advice and stuff on what works, priming, cleaning, that sort of thing.

But for now, I'm just happy to 20 years later, have "Drome, sweet Drome" for my boys in blue.

Congrats Narc! I got my first TD earlier this summer that was 100% complete and damn near mint in a lot with a 99% complete Defiant complex along with a ton of other near mint vehix for like 300 bucks. So I know very well the excitement that you're feeling right now. ;)

I remember, "Local pick up only" for the win, :)

I'm most just missing gun caps and the two lower guns(and their braces), but since I was planning on taking those out, this thing really only need 2 or 3 of the armor panels for the firebat bay.

Now Segnett's, that one needs about all the parts, but he's gonna clone it up anyway, lol.

Regarding paint, given the rigid plastic that the Terror Drome is made out of, I would expect that any decent model-kit enamel paint would work.

In 2004, I saw a jaw-droppingly incredible Crimson Guard Terror-Drome that someone had customized, on display at that year's Convention. Looked like it had taken a LOT of red and silver spray paint, but the result was astounding.

holy cow, that is nice. I also really like the black scheme overall, might need to look into that.

GI, I remember a crimson TD, was it in the snow?

I think it was even posted on here at one point.

Yeah, the first hurdle, I want to make a cap for mine.

Somewhere between the one Apoc(I think) did and the one from robot chicken's office parody.

I'm leaning towards artic, so the exposed top will not work, :(

If you are giving the junker one to Segnett, you should take out all of the computer stations and send them to me. Tell him they can work towards making things right for the trade he screwed me out of last year :verymad:

I can do that, :)

I'll get with him again, see if I can get him to send something your way.

Like I said, he's honest, just lazier than anyone you'll ever meet.

Actually, DK, the first lot of drome parts I got were from you. That planted the seed of getting my own terrordrome, years ago, :)
