Wow...unreal.

However, I'll betcha what's gonna happen now.

A) Dozens of people will bombard the seller asking what else they have
b) Dozens of people will bombard the seller with higher offers and they'll pull out of the auction once they realize what they have.

If there had been a Rock 'n' Roll in that batch I'd be pissed. But there isn't so I'm just astonished. I get a too good to be true vibe from it but who knows. Stranger things have happened.

Yeah, I had seen this posted over on Hiss Tank. It really does seem like a to good to be true situation but you never know. If you notice though, the seller normally sells a lot of sports cards and such. Its possible that he/she didn't know what they had in the first place. Considering that the seller has 100% positive feedback with 616 deals then I would of taken a chance as well.

That's a bit stupid. If I had anything moc or misb from whatever toyline from those years I'd check the internet first to see what's worth it. That's the least you can do (takes about 5 minutes) before selling it this way. Such a shame.

Or like me, just wanted to dump his old crappy joes.

I saw a guy sell a copy paper box full of SW figures on card from Empire for 20 bucks when I was in college.

His grandma had gotten them when the clearanced them for like a quarter a fig, so in his brain, they were worth a quarter a fig, lol.

So he didn't get ripped off.

Then again, I also happen to know Deathwing bought a bobafett on revenge of the jedi card for five bucks from one of his "friends" not mentioning its ridiculous worth.

so beware. . . LOL

I've seen this happen before, but with Megos - YEARS ago.
Someone buys an auction lot of cases, or a collection, doesn't know/care what they have, and they blow it out.

In the case of the Mego cases, I was lucky enough to score some of them, and made a ton from them, they came with books, cards, and stickers, all of which I blew out to get my money back ASAP. I didn't care about the cards and such, as I'm sure this guy didn't care about the figures.

There's no way this guy knows what he has. 8-O

The point Wyld2304 makes is a good one. This isn't this seller's specialty. Some years ago, a friend of mine stumbled across an auction on eBay -- a MIB Original Transformers Jetfire -- Buy It Now for $15. He says the auction lasted about 45 seconds and the only reason he didn't get it was because the winner's eBay user name was shorter than his. That particular seller specialized in sports memorabilia.

I've sometimes had people who know I'm a "toy collector" ask my opinion on trading cards. I politely tell them that that's not my specialty and I really don't know what they might be worth. Clearly the reverse is true here. I suspect this seller somehow acquired a box of G.I.Joes and thought, "Pfft. Plastic toys. Maybe I can get five bucks each for 'em."

this guy is the anti-Brian's Toys!

I know he's suddenly going to be on a lot of people's "favourite sellers list"
