The only thing that would make it cooler if it was big like in the cartoon that the RHINO could fit inside!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Definetly a great upgrade from the Mobile command center. Doesnt nessisarily replace it, but definetly adds some flair. Plus,.. it has a STEALTH JET!!!!

I would say my only gripe is the command chairs that seem to be facing nothing...

I love the R.O.C.C.

In my opinion, it makes for a different (not necessarily better) mobile base than the MCC. The MCC makes a great base. It has tons of play features and if it needs to move somewhere, it can. I imagine it moves like a sand crawler, though.

This is where the R.O.C.C. shines. While it has some of the base features that the MCC offers, it is clearly meant to be more mobile and likely travels as quickly as a semi truck would.

If anyone ever guts one, I would love that drone. That thing screams. :shifty:

You know, string enough of those drones together, and you could make yourself one heck of a Galatica.

So the question is, do you want one or two? ;)

Yeah I like the ROCC, but parts fall off mine real easy. I don't know if that's just mine or if it's typical of the design. But the idea behind it is cool.

I pretty much see it as a command center that's used on light missions. Those that might be a quick hit but the team needs a place to hit from. While the Mobile Command Center is one where the team will be there a while. Maybe something where they're having to be there to infiltrate and slowly work their way into enemy grounds.

And we should all join in, because it really is a great piece. I dunno if it surpasses the MCC in my eyes, tho. It does have a very large amount of play/dio value; but some of the pieces are forced into too small an area, like the aforementioned command seats that face nothing. Plus, I'd think them guys might not want to be sitting right where a jet rocket's exhaust is gonna be splashing out everywhere. But the biggest thing I don't like is how there's no cover for whichever hole the turret's not in.

I do love how the tractor separates to become a 'HISS on steroids', tho.

I think as a kid I would have loved the heck out of it.

I just don't think it displays very well.

I sold mine not too long after picking it up.

I like the ROCC...

...and I dislike the ROCC.

Let me explain.

As a concept it works. I can easily see one of these driving out of the belly of a C-5. It is a portable headquarters that works so much better than the MCC.

What I dislike about it was the whole internal layout.

If Hasbro was smart they would have released another version with different modular interiors. They could have updated it 'Rolling Thunder-style' (making it a SCUD in concept), they could have had a surveillance/electronics package, could have had a more mobile base feel to it (beds, computer stations, etc), or even made it into a dedicated small space vehicle launcher.

With the last option they also should have designed it so that once the back end is tilted upright, the entire launch assembly would pivot (turntable style) so the drone was on the outside of the hull. From there the drone could launch safely without frying the controllers manning the 'office'.

I should have picked up at least ten more for my custom ideas when HTS had the sale :(

UniSols Paint the ROCC black, and add some UniSols stickers to it. Then put that Guile head to good use. :)

Oktober Guard Paint the ROCC in appropriate Oktober Guard colors. Add custom Driver. (It is unfortunate that given other sub-teams had dedicated vehicles, the Oktober Guard didn't even rate a "Kremlin Kiddie Kart.")

Arbco Circus/Moving Company Paint in color scheme similar to other Moving Vans so it can hide in plain sight. Include custom Viper team.

Crimson Guard Paint in appropriate Crimson Guard colors.

Mobile Cobra Transport In keeping with the above moving van idea that would be able to hide in plain sight. Could swap out interior for a full electronics suite to spy on the JOEs. Would include seating for Tele-Vipers and new espionage-type Viper.

MARS Paint black and highlight with gold. Add Despoiler landing area and custom Driver/Operator.

GIJOE Paint in color scheme of the 1982 colors.

Cobra Racing Team Total custom paint job to reflect a Cobra-sponsored racing team (it's a dedicated PR effort to make Cobra more appealing and 'kid-friendly'. Included are Viper Racing Crew/Mechanics, Driver, and Cobra 'Mascot'.

Cold Slithor Equipment Transporter Paint in updated 'Nok colors (not the pastel colors of the Swampfire, etc) with the band name on the side. Includes 'Nok Driver, Roadies, etc.

GIJOE Heavy Equipment Transporter Gut the entire trailer and add a flat deck to turn it into a flatbed. Would look awesome carrying a Mauler (might even made a tarp to cover cargo). Add a new Driver and Crewmen.

Cobra Commander's Personal Transporter aka the Cobra RV :D Rearrange the interior to add in a throne for Cobra Commander, security stations for CG Bodyguards, private living quarters, and a state of the art electronics suite. Now CC can cruise the highways and the streets of Springfield in style. Include Custom Driver and female Cobra Attendant.

BTW-I do have, at least on paper, some WIPs based on some of the above ideas (especially the Cold Slithor ones-need them for the Roadhouse) :D

Weird...I have never much liked it. I feel like I warmed up to it over time, but still just don't see it being as great as most other Joe vehicles. I think it is an exercise in trying to force too many good ideas into too little space. While the thing is huge, its vision is even larger.

Not only do the seats face nothing, but it has that "escape tube" to nowhere. It would be easier to bail over the side than to try to crawl up that thing. The folding side ramps make it possible to drive a vehicle up there for repairs? What vehicle? It would have to be one of the tiny ones like a ninja cycle or maybe Backblast's tank. That space could have been used for a control panel, conference table, both, or any number of things to give the seats purpose. The front end is probably the best part, but it seemed to me like many of the seats there were hard to access and fit the figures in nicely.

Overall, I felt like The ROCC occupied a larger scale price point that could have been used for something better. I don't think it was as good as the MCC...nor even the Rolling Thunder nor Thunderclap. But if you have the space and got it on clearance or used, it is probably worth it just for the pod jet (and Long Range!).

I would like to see some of the features removed and the existing ones given more space. Then it could also make a great repaint made to look like the 12" AT Mobile Support Vehicle. The detaching front end with base back end makes me wonder if that was the design they had in mind when it was created.

I couldn't have said it better. When I look at the ROCC, I see a good idea done in by budget constraints of the modern toy world. Had it been done on the scale of the recent large Star Wars playsets, I think you would have had a vehicle for the ages. Instead, you end up with something that desperately wants to be cool, but is left as nothing but unfullfilled potential.

Dammit Mike and Patrick, you're making me lazy. I'm gonna start waiting for you to think stuff up, cause you're reaching better conclusions than I am. :)

It does not strike me as a Joe Vehicle. Sorta Cobra, but...I dunno. Oktober Guard maybe.

Whose is this? It's driving me nuts. Not big enough for Joe. Oh well, take it away Mike and Pat LOL...

I like the ROCC. Not as much as the MCC, but it's got a cool adventurer's mobile base vibe to it that only comes from GIJoe. And I absolutely adore the mini fighter.
