I don't know if I agree or disagree with this practice. I do, however, disagree with not knowing this before they were sold out. I want that Destro so badly. I guess I understand getting the product out there. I'd probably be a little annoyed if they were selling them for more than the regular figures.

Its not like they marked them up or anything. So they got the variant in enough quantity to sell online. At least they aren't sifting them out and selling 'em on ebay for loads more than retail as I suspect other online shops might do.

Errr... how is this any different than the brick and mortar retailers selling them? They're not marking them up, and they're giving people (like me) who don't have access to many retail stores to get these hard-to-find items.

Good for them.

Justin

 ?

Yeah - at $9.99, they're actually cheaper than most every B&M retailer out there. If they were $14.99 I could see a reason for your frustration, but as-is, I don't get it. These aren't AFA-graded PDDs, after all - they're product just like everything else.

If it was listed a different price I see good reason to be upset.

I'm really upset with the ADD MORE FUN parts. If the figure is out of stock why place it there like I can order it.

It's upsetting because of that fact that the variants are not packed in any way that you would have a real chance to get one. I bought a case...not one in there. I watched a guy open a case at Walmart...not one in there. The thing is, they are selling it on their site like "Heh, we got tons" but as you can see...sold out.

And they are asses because I get their e-mail and they never mentioned it. :-/

*shrug* I've pretty much written off HTS at this point. When stuff sells out within hours of its listing, then I really have no use for HTS. I can't spend every waking hour hovering over the site hitting the "refresh" button every two minutes, hoping by some miracle I can catch the item before it's gone. I expect internet shopping to be convenient, not a mirror of what goes on out on the toy aisles, where it's grown into a gorramn race to get there before the scalpers do.

Had some great luck with HTS early on with the last ARAH comic packs and DTC stuff, but now...after missing the Alternators Hot Rod, Last Crusade figures, and two or three other figure offerings through them on the same friggin' day the listings went active, I'm pretty much done with them.

On a side note, I'm expecting about the same thing from Mattel's online store. :-/

This is funny. I found that particular variant at Walmart last night, and passed on it. I'm getting sick of variants.

You know that when you visit another site it's like being with everyone who's ever visited that site.
