I just scored all 4 of the new vehicle packs at Wal mart. Not sure if I agree with the price point after Targets offerings.

Question: Are the Serpentor and Cpl Breaker figures the same as the pervious offerings? It looks like they are, with some minor paint variations (less detail).

I think I may be offering up the Vamp on the marketplace once I get around to opening them up this weekend. possibly the Breaker and Serpy too, as I am not into subtle variations and completionist collecting.

Opened them up today.

I was disapointed to find no visor/optics for Steeler
no comm gear/pack or bubble for Breaker
Only 1 pistol for Breaker (he has two holsters)......
Then I found a grey pistol in the Ram saddlebags...score

Cool catalog as mentioned in another thread....plus, the filecards for the vehicles were a nice touch.

I saw them, Might get the flight pod but that is it, the others didn't impress me as much (Especially since I have the originals).

I got the Hiss Tank & Armadillo/Serpentor. Yes for the most part they aren't that impressive. Only half of the contents in each box is worthy of my desire.

A Hiss that can fit the new figures is good to have in the right colors but the driver in the wrong colors.
Serpentor still has that modern look and doesn't look graceful riding his chariot. There are good details in the Armadillo but it hasn't been my favorite vehicle. Steeler is a bit of a let down. His original figure didn't share a torso with the others and he had that unique visor. Now is figure looks like all the others. Has a new head mold and a holster webgear both good. Looks like the lost original 14th member of the team, not Steeler. I thought about attaching Snake Eye's NVG to his helmet.

Isn't the driver in the new Hiss Tank Rip-It? OK, not on the file card, maybe, but the colors are Rip-It's, I think.

The "driver" is the HISS Commander. He's the one who rides in the turret. The HISS Driver is sold separately.

I put him in the Target Hiss Tank. Looks more like the one Rip It drives. But thinking of getting a couple more Hiss later on and might put the Blue boy into the turret like suggested. And change the #'s around a little bit on the tanks as well.

I hope i can find them. Mack wiped out the local Wally of both their initial shipments. The RAM is the version i've waited 26 years for, i'd like to get several.

The figures are hit n miss, but Breaker is just a headswap away from becoming another greenshirt. Why they just didn't bother with a visor for Steeler totally puzzles me, but that's a nice idea with the v3 SE goggles.

I got all 4 packs and I like'em all. Breaker, doesn't bother me as I have the comic pack version w/gear. Steeler, just added a vintage visor to his helmet. VAMP & RAM, definate upgrades from the originals, with more details. Hiss Tank, got that just for the driver. Never had the Trouble Bubble, Chariot, or the Armadillo, so these are nice additions to my Joe collection.

I am a vehicle fan more than anything else and for the most part, I love these vehicles.

I agree with most that Serpentor's Air Chariot is the turd of the wave. Yeah, it was cool when you got it as a kid but certainly not a stand out vehicle.

The HISS is a HISS, but it is solid anyway. Classic black can't go wrong.

The upgrades on the VAMP, RAM and Armadillo were very suprising. I really didn't think they would put that much effort into making them better but they did do that. The pictures really don't do them justice.

One thing I thought was really missing from the upgrade department was on the Flight Pod. The pilot's feet are still hanging out in the wind. They should have really added some simple foot pegs to rest the feet on. I know these are only toys but I can't help but thinking about it in relation to riding a motorcycle. The clutch aside, your feet being planted gives you a lot of control you don't think about. Think about that ride with your feet just hanging off. You could do it, but the ride would suck. Same idea here.
