NOT COUNTING FIGURE CONSTRUCTION, which Night Watch set do you prefer?

The DTC set had a unique backstory and individual characters. On the other hand, the 25A set has a darker, more "night-friendly" camouflage and more appropriate weapons.

If both sets had the same construction and were presented in their respective packaging, which one would you buy if you came across both sets on the shelf at the same time?

The new figures are better, but the older filecards RULED!

So I call a draw.

I didn't buy either, so I'm voting for myself.

new set is done in much-superior Anniversary construction style that i love but it's comepletely BORING to look at.

old set's color scheme is cool to look at and had enough uniform variety to satisfy but looked nice as a "team" but the figures were squat with huge ugly heads.

25A set should have used the DTC set's color scheme. I'd have bought 2 sets then. As it is, I'm skipping it altogether.

well in general RAH pwns 25th figures, but i voted 25th because i like their deco and gear better. If it wasn't for them my Grandslam wouldn't have a sweet laser.

I like the paint jobs and weapons better on the 25A set. However I always prefer classic sculpt figures. I call a draw as well.

Same reasons for me. When the 25th ones came out, I had to lament the fact that these colors weren't used on the DTC Nightwatch set.

I love the classic sculpts, but the DTC Nightwatch set lost a few points from me because I didn't like the arms. The details lost took away a bit from the appeal of it being a repainted old sculpt figure. So when I got that set, I felt pretty unimpressed by it.

With the 25th Nightwatch, the accessory choice felt a bit like the old Penny's 3-pack getting Joe guns with some Cobras. But the colors were also so much better. And I ended up feeling pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it.

I realize that the initial post said construction notwithstanding, but that's a little hard to overlook, really. I'm with Firefox and others -- the DTC set has the traditional-style construction, so it gets the nod from me, but the camo pattern of the 25th style set was very interesting.
