My gripes about MC:

1. The website. Everyone else has said it already, but it really is horrible.

2. They tend to put the cart before the horse. If the set for the year is "Tanks for the Memories", it might be good to have some tanks stockpiled before announcing it. If the tanks tooling breaks, it might be good to offer an "apology" to those of us that ordered it. Seriously, how hard would it be to break up a few of the sets and send out 1 "surprise" figure? When I found out the tanks weren't coming out, I was happy to save money, but still a bit let down. Getting a surprise Doc II figure wouldn't helped with that.

3. Packaging. Yes, I did just list this on the other thread about what MC does right, too. However, there's something to be said about buying stuff on the cheap. The once-a-year sets with the pretty packaging? I can deal with that. The MOTH sets, however, didn't really merit the nice packaging for just two figures inside.

4. Selling out figures. I didn't go the con, so I didn't have an opportunity to get a Grand Slam or Piper figure. Many of you see it as a right and a reward for driving 500 miles. Sure, but it doesn't sit as being "fair" to me. Make enough figures so that everyone can buy one without being screwed on eBay, please.

I agree on the sellout point. although I dont figure that they would order the 10,000 that hasbro does,.. A sellout was kinda harsh, especially when a lot of them ended up in the hands of retail and scalpers, not fans. maybe adding a few hundred more, like 800, might increase availability, without having tons of extras sitting in the warehouse.

My big gripe would definitely be the handling of last year's fan film festival in that they somehow lost track of my movie (now linked in my sig). Even after i emailed them prior to the show to confirm it had arrived. I was so shocked that it wasn't shown last year and it could have ruined the con for me if that had been my sole reason for going.

I confronted Brian about it immediately after the show. He jotted my name down (on a sheet containing 60-70 other scribblings) and assured me it would be shown next year. I feel almost bad for the guy now, as he got nearly the full brunt of my vitriol and i'm quite a bit bigger than he is. I never heard back from him, but didn't really expect to.

It's not a huge deal anymore, but i am curious as to whether it might be shown this year, as I don't plan to attend. If anyone could give me a heads up on it, i would appreciate it.

I think they need to cut down on their huge prices. They have great figs though.

Even more annoying than the stupid joke was their dismissal of how a lot of people didn't think it was funny. Someone mentioned it on their board in a respectful manner and MC appeared to take offense to it and locked the thread after getting their last 2 cents in. The entire joke was a way for them to slap their "members" on the wrist for snooping around the website looking for information they said would be posted by a certain time...and was not.

i suppose i should have read all the other posts first, but i didn't.

my gripes...

1. i payed the extra money for the faster deliverywhen i joined, in feb or march of 07

2. i nver got my newsletter, i called, they said wait

3 i nver got the 2nd newsletter, the said we will push out your supcription to a further date, and told me to wait, confirmed my adress for the 2nd time.

4. i never got my newsletter,i called reverfied, she said "hmm" i said what she said "nothing" then told me they would extend my subsription to april or somthing so i still get a year of newsletters.

i did finally start getting my newsleetes and for 3 weeks they had a yellow sticker from the po for andress change, the adresson them was not mine but somewhere else in colo.

5. i never got my copperhead figure. i called they said wait. i waited. i never got my copperhead figure, i called they said wait. I NEVER got my copperhead figure, i called agrily they said wait. INEVER got my figure and said scerw them.

the end

it is my understanding that the dio contest was combined 12inch and 3 3/4scale in one contest and there was a question as to if the judges were split uo with thier preferences or if the judging was done by 12inch fansfans. isthat true? they are seperate sculpts, they each have thier own con sets why not thier own contests?

i'm pretty sure 12in fans wouldn't want thier dio in a contest with 3 3/4fans and have 3 3/4 fans judging it.

ok i'm done ...for now
