Codenames that were used elsewhere always bugged me.

Metalhead was a robot in TNMT.

Shockwave? Hey, that's a Decepticon!

Maverick was a punk from Top Gun.

I personally don't know why, but I have some of my Joes using other titles added on (ex: Agent Chuckles, General Hawk, Seargeant Duke, Agent Flint etc.) in formal situations, but on the battlefield, they're Chuckles, Hawk, and Duke, and if the rank changes, they can always keep the codename. Personally, I've always been partial to Duke, Flint, and Falcon, as they are easy to say and shout out on the battlefield. And I hate the names Skidmark, Worms, and T'J Bang.

Name wise I'd say Falcon, Hawk, Viper, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Scoop also had a nice ring to it
